Greg Bryant's pics and now this? I'm starting to rethink everything that's felt natural to me at this point in my life.
This is where Kuehnja comes out of the closet
Can you blame me? We get Bryant, Jaylon, and now this, all in one year? Like I stood a chance.
Had you ever read Shakespeare, a sweet sonnet or two might ease your aching heart.
Nothing like being hit on by women twice your age.
And you are speaking from experience?Unless you're 43
I hope Cam is the starting back at this point. It's obvious this season that no other upperclassman has seized the opportunities they've been given and made the most of it like Cam has. One may argue that Folston has done very well with his limited carries, and I would put him at #2. I mentioned it last week, and this game today only solidifies that sentiment. Put Carlisle in the slot or something to get him in space, or do that Split Backs formation with Cam and Carlisle. GAIII should be Special Teams and #3 back again. I know service academies are disciplined and fairly good at fundamentals, but when you go down every carry on first contact from an Air Force defender...you probably shouldn't be the starting back. GAIII averaged 3.0 yards a carry, with Cam getting twice that and Folston getting 4.3. Carlisle ended up with 3 yards, but he only got 3 chances.
I haven't, but since you mentioned Shakespeare, you are now to Bogtrotter as Cam/Bryant are to kuehnja.

Bingo, Cam and Tarean #1 and #2 with Amir finding his way into the slot at times and GA III spelling guys for a breather. Where is Will Mahone?

Lol. Bogs and I tore up some Shakespeare one day before our posts were relegated to the Island of misfit toys" thread.
That we did kind gentle soul.
Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio, a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy. He hath borne me on his back a thousand times, and now, how abhorred in my imagination it is! My gorge rises at it. Here hung those lips that I have kissed I know not how oft. —Where be your gibes now? Your gambols? Your songs? Your flashes of merriment that were wont to set the table on a roar? Not one now to mock your own grinning? Quite chapfallen? Now get you to my lady’s chamber and tell her, let her paint an inch thick, to this favor she must come. Make her laugh at that.—Prithee, Horatio, tell me one thing.
The one on the right is me!

I agree. Cam is the workhorse...but we need big play ablity and that's why I think we've stuck with GAIII for so long. But he's just not made for this. Let Folston take over as #1a.
GAIII is simply a special teamer. Nothing wrong with it, but we need to stop expecting him to be somethiing he's not.
Love Cam...but we really need a big time RB. Folston may be that guy.
What if our blocking scheme is wrong? Does that make our blessing, or rush to judgement on any given back a little premature?

We need a full backYou know of a scheme that blocks eleven on every down?
GAIII could run behind emmitt Smith's line in Dallas and he'd still leave yards on the field.
Like most here, I think Cam should be the #1 back with Folson getting ~8 carries a game as his backup. Throw GA back in his role from last year where he gets 3-5 carries a game where you try to get him in the open field.
I think they've got to start from scratch with Carlisle and move him to the slot for next year.
cant say i disagree here...but would like perhaps more than 8 carries for folston
trivia question:
does chuck martin know that screens (to an RB out of the backfield) are allowed?

Thats a good question. Other than some bubble screens maybe I don't think we've run any RB screens. You'd think with teams loading up the box and being aggressive the screen could be open. Maybe he's afraid with so many guys in the box that they'd sniff it out, flow with the blockers/RB and stuff it or get a pick? Thats my best guess, but probably not really Martin's thought process.
