Yes. On an official visit, the school pays for everything, so it's a much more impressive experience.

On an unofficial visit, the school is much more restricted on what it can offer, so it's closer to what you might get if you simply had a buddy in the Athletic Department-- behind-the-scenes access, interaction with players, coaches, etc., but not the red carpet treatment.

I've been hoping its one of those situations--kind of like Kiel--where his friends clearly didn't want him to go to ND, but as it got later in the process, he realized that those guys weren't going to be part of his life in 6 months.

Changed this visit to an official so that he can see more of ND and happy that he did. Highlight for him was the game and hanging out with Jaylon. ND back in the race for him now.
