'14 TX DB Nick Watkins (Notre Dame Signee)

Nick Watkins did an interview with Rivals where he talked a little ND and recruiting. Really likes Coach Cooks, they have a great relationship. As of now we are his only official but he plans on taking all five. Texas DC leaving doesn't have any impact on his recruitment because his relationship with their DB coach is really good. Has eleven offers he is strongly considering and didn't give in to who the last four officials are but did say that the five officials he schedules will be his top 5. So safe to say we are in his top 5.

FWIW, Nick said the chances he committed on the visit was slim. Said he wants to take his time and be sure.

has a great relationship w/ cooks, BK is a players coach and will do anything for his players...hung out before w/ the Irish db's/wr's and said they are really a great group and funny...really easy to make friends there....distance isn't a factor..his family can watch him on NBC or tv every week

after season will schedule other officials...will be at ou/tex game this weekend

will be only coming up w/ peyton for his official at ND-NO FAMILY

You're only going to go on a ND radio show if you have legit interest. But I don't think that means slam dunk. I really hope he commits on the USC visit. He's a must get right now.

Wouldn't rule out a committment but not counting on it. We ultimately win out here but he seems set on taking his five officials. Have his top spot and have won his father over as well which is very important.
