should we take that to = increase in play

No, wait for The Bryant was transferring crowd to explain the true reason ... Folston is considering announcing his transfer due to insufficient reps.

We are through the rough part of our schedule after USC. I hope we see more of the young guys.

I think that might be the plan. It's really hard to put these guys in with the kind of schedule we have for the first 6 games.

Despite a depth chart topped by George Atkinson, Amir Carlisle and Cam McDaniel, and coming into Notre Dame with the more-hyped Greg Bryant, Folston's found a way to impress his coaches. A few weeks ago, coach Brian Kelly gushed about what Folston brings to the table:

[RELATED: Notre Dame midterm grades: Quarterbacks]

"Just looks like everything he does is very smooth," he said. "Gets out of his breaks very, very well. Puts his foot in the ground and can accelerate. Catches the ball extremely well."

For Folston, Notre Dame's academics were a big draw. He's realistic -- a lot can happen between now and draft eligibility -- and going somewhere he figured could set him up for life after football drew him to chilly climate of northern Indiana.

"This is a great program. This program, it can take you far in life, football or not football. It's a lot of great people here, a lot of great people I've yet to meet. I feel like my journey here has just begun."

Folston gets it. Flight risk averted?

Love that last quote by Tarean.

Facts not actually in evidence, other than the fact that Tarean is well spoken and driven to his own success!

Tarean is going to get smacked in the face when winter gets here!

I can't get the image of the Sun Bowl out of my head, where the Miami team was in straight up Arctic gear and ND was out there in short sleeves.

Anyway, if I can do it coming from Texas, these guys can manage it. I wholeheartedly agree with the comment above.

Maybe Folston can help keep Bryant here. Nice quotes by Foltson, he has a bright future ahead of him at ND.

funnily enough going back to their recruitment GB said he had heard from and been messaging with every other recruit in the '13 class bar TF. Im not sure if they are that close

He actually specified Folston as someone he was not in touch with? That's odd.
To be fair, of everyone in this freshman class I'm not sure anyone has kept a lower profile than Folston. He's not big on Twitter. I remember like one interview with him as a recruit. Not a splashy kid. Just runs like a truck.

Why so odd when you point out that Folston is a quiet kid?

Plus they were competing for the same slot.

And, they both came in relatively late in the cycle, Bryant in Dec and Folston in Jan.

I thought it was known when they were being recruited that being they were both coming form Florida and were kinda competing with each other as the better running back in the state. At one point we seemed to believe that there was no way we got one after the other commited because of they kinda didn't get along.

I just meant it seemed odd that he'd specifically call out Folston as someone he didn't have much relationship with. Why mention him at all? Folston being quiet may be part of the reason, but we really have no idea what he's like in person. He was just quiet on social media.
But, yeah, wouldn't read too much into it.

That quote was right around the time that Folston committed. What he was trying to stress was that he had spoken to, and got on well with, the rest of the guys but hadn't really had a chance to build a rapport with Folston, despite them being from the same state. At least thats what i took from it at the time.

I remember it the same way. He was directly asked how much contact he had with the rest of the recruiting class and his opinion of the guys. He responded that the only person he had not had any contact with at that point was Folston. There wasn't anything to indicate animosity between the two.

Thanks, yo. I wasn't sure exactly what the context of the comment was.

Folston needs to be the feature back after today's performance. Made plays at the line of scrimmage, protected the football, blocked well the few times he had the Opportunity too.he just has that 'it' factor that I feel the other backs don't possess. He's bound to make a mistake at one time or another, being a freshman. But let the kid play and learn!!!!!
