Anyone close to the program that knows why Tommy checks so much? Is the original play call so terrible it forces him to check off or does he have that much free reign to check like that? It would be interesting to know.

I think some of it is Tommy, but also our offense has to be the least interesting and least imaginative offense in college football right now. No identity and we don't do anything particularly well. It's hard to watch. (All of that would be fine, too, if the offense was effective, but it clearly isn't.)
