Do you think Golson beat our Rees last year? Golson got the job because his ceiling was higher and he was our future. There is a reason Rees came in to so many games. Gunner couldn't make it off the bottom of depth chart, let alone up to #2.

No. I can't stand Rees as a player and I have been an outspoken opponent of him being our starter, but I respect the hell out of him for trying his hardest. Gunner is a quitter trying to find the easy way out - that sure as hell isn't what ND is about. He can feel free to scrub it up at UC.

This begs the question "Did he fail because the staff was forcing him to play Kelly's system, which I still don't know after four years, rather than finding Gunner's strong points and building your offense around it."
