Buckeyes won 40-20 and Florida beat toledo 24-6, i dont think people should worry too much about not blowing temple out. We'll see what we got next week against Michigan, but i think we'll be fine

Pachall just got in the game so he must have been benched. He was supposed to be a big deal this year. Interested to hear why or see why?

I just wanna say...props to the FCS teams that upset their bigger brothers this weekend. Woe to those that schedule FCS teams! May you lose all these games.

To further prove that we still get no credit. Brock Huard calling the NW vs. Cal game says that he gives credit to NW because they are moving towards the Stanford model. Good school and good football. U must be kidding me.

Anyone catch Holtz's comment on the air when they were reviewing the pOSU highlights?

He said sarcastically, could be the toughest opponent that pOSU plays all year. LOL Got to love Lou.

A few random thoughts from week 1:

I mainly watched Clemson-Georgia at night (but watched LSU-TCU when I could). I thought it was a great atmosphere and a very exciting game. Boyd impressed the hell out of me.

I know it's 1 game and only 1 week, but based off of the small sample we've seen so far, I can't see ND being able to beat Clemson or Georgia. Honestly, not sure it would even be close. ND has a lot of work to do. But again, only 1 game and 1 week of football.

I think, similar to last year, ND will be "penalized" for only beating the perceived lowly Temple 28-6; while osu, michigan, and others won't be penalized for beating even worse teams by similar/smaller margins.

Interested to see voting this week. Voters (whether coaches or writers, as we know, are notorious for being corrupt, ignorant, and stupid), I believe, should probably vote Clemson 1st or 2nd. They had the best win of the week, by far. No way osu's 20 point win over buffalo was more impressive than Clemson's (only) 3 point win over Georgia. Similarly, Georgia shouldn't drop in the polls very much. Voters- do the right thing.

One of the best QB's I saw all day was Wyoming's. He had a strong arm and torched the Black Shirts for 4 TD's. That will be one of those cases someday when you see him on an NFL roster and check out to see where he went to school and then ask why he only went to Wyoming.

If I was a Nebraska fan, I would be embarrassed by that defense Pelini runs out there. They have no business wearing black shirts. How long do they give Bo in Lincoln?

They had to prepare and get up for a big game. What we don't know is if they are 2 teams both deserving of their rank or if it was #22 and #23 going at it. No one else in the country had to really gameplan this week. If they did, we are in for a long year of ****** ball folks.

I get what you're saying, but yeah, we do kinda know Clemson and Georgia aren't worse than 21 other teams in the country. They've been good in the past, have recruited well, been able to send guys to the league consistently, and have great college QB's. Georgia could easily lose a couple more games this year...and they'd still probably easily be better than multiple teams ranked ahead of them with fewer losses.

If the 6 FCS-over-FBS wins illustrate anything, it's that college football is truly divided into 15 or so top programs and everybody else is more or less the same. That, IMO, is how we know Georgia and Clemson are better than Wisconsin and Northwestern (to pick two schools hovering in the low 20s.)

I was at Kinnick and watched Jordan Lynch yesterday. He throws a pretty solid ball and that MAC school has some fight in them. I watched a bunch of replays this morning and loved the Notre Dame start but thought it got sloppy.

Clemson looks pretty solid. Great line play. I think Bama v A&M may be a shootout. It's hard to get a read on Michigan next week when they play a jv squad in the opener.

LSU looks good on the front. Exciting game to come with Saban. Florida looked overrated. Ohio State will anger me until they lose.

Notre Dame had a solid start but I was upset with the lack of production in the back part of the game. Tommy looked comfortable throwing the ball for sure and I'm excited for Tuitt/Nix to destroy the scUM front next week.

Bridgewater came out with an excellent first drive. Guy is the real deal!

12/13, 181 yards and 3 TDs after three offensive drives? Yea, he's looking pretty good. Assuming he has a huge game, it's him and Tahj Boyd atop the Heisman list after week 1.

Definitey agree i love watching him play. Of course as soon as we say this he underthrows someone for a pick haha. Plus hes got a weak schedule he should light it up all year

Would have liked to see him come to SB next year, but he's obviously gone.

It's only Week 1 but a Pitt win is great for us in a couple different ways.

I'm torn on the Pitt-FSU game. On the one hand, I want to see a team ranked ahead of Notre Dame take a fall, especially when the Irish will be facing them next season. On the other hand, I'd hate to see Pitt emerge as a real threat to our boys this season. We've already got enough to worry about with: Michigan, USC, ASU, and Stanford. Can Pitt beat FSU and still be a pushover for the Irish? Maybe I ask too much.
