The point I'm trying to make is that the weapon isn't the problem. It's our depraved society's lack of respect for decency, respect for authority, and respect for each other that has lead to so many gun deaths.

Take away the guns and people in Chicago would be killing each other with whatever they could get their hands on.

Serious question (I'm out and not watching the news): are any legitimate news outlets reporting that? I was really not expecting riots and was hoping we wouldn't see any. People are right to be angry, but rioting undermines any moral high ground.

It's from rioting in the UK that has nothing to do with this case. That link was a bad joke ... very bad joke in very poor taste. I'm watching the news and have seen nothing but peaceful protests reported.

In all fairness, his opinion is as a viable as anyone else's. on the other side you've had three or four posters hanging out in this thread nonstop for days. They respond to literally every post that offers a contrary opinion by saying the exact same thing over and over.

During the revolutionary war from 1775- 1783 there were approx 25,000 dead and 25,000 wounded. Over 100,000 people will be shot in the USA this year with no war going on inside our borders.
