Now, I know what you're thinking...ESPN.........BLEHHHHHHH!!! I'm with you on most days, but I thought that this was tremendous. If you have one ounce of compassion, best of luck holding it together through this.

Soldiers Coming Home which I believe aired yesterday on SC... Enjoy.

Damn you ESPN for making me feel feelings. I'm here to go America all over everyone's asses, not cry in the corner watching the troops come home at sporting events, somehow always to tiny daughters. But it's ok. These tears might run but these colors ****ing don't. AMERICAAAAAA!!!!

I didn't really have any emotions watching this. I was cutting a lot of onions at the time and even accidentally sprayed pepper spray in my face.

Not much makes me cry. I can count on one hand the number of times in the past 20 years. This was one of them. The little girl at the 4:03 minute mark got me. Beautiful stuff. Thanks for posting it.

Watched it at home Sunday morning and had to WORK to fight back tears. I love these things. My wife and I went to Brother's that night to watch the Spain-Brazil game, and they showed it on one of the TV's, and she couldn't watch anymore b/c she started to tear up...and this was without the music.

And if you liked the ESPN one, check out this video of surprise military visits. It's UNBELIEVABLY good, trust me. I show it to my students every 9/11. ESPN actually uses a couple of these clips, so you'll recognize them. It's about 10 minutes long. Never embedded a link (gonna try), but if it doesn't work, click the link; it's worth it.

WARNING: If you know anyone in the military, or if you have kids, or if you have a heart, tears will flow.

Wow. Just, wow.

Edit: growing up in a broken home, that's just beautiful to watch. Thanks for that link, and thanks for this thread

Has the "Carry On" espn video from last night been posted yet? Yikes.

Dude, ridiculously good. I had a nice bout with insomnia at about 4 in the morning and found it online through another Irish site. I actually used to show the original Carry On video to my students every year as part of a religion lesson I would teach (they LOVE that video), so this story is near and dear to my heart as they say.

Who knew that the producer of the clip would become such a mentor/hero/guardian angel for them? Awesome story, awesome lady. And awesome husband for (seemingly) being understanding and supportive of her and the boys instead of being jealous and possessive like so many guys out there.

Must watch video; it's worth the 20 minutes...
