You're probably right.

The East could be loaded at the top next year.

Heat, Pacers with another year + Granger is back, Bulls with Rose, and now the Nets.

Poor Rondo. He's going to spend his prime in a transition phase for the Celtics.

I was hoping the pacers could work out some kind of trade to acquire rondo, but it just doesn't seem feasible now.

I think the deciding factor on how this plays out lies with D. Willy. If he listens to Kidd and allows him to teach him some things, I think it'll work out fairly well.

KG averaged 15 and 8 last year, and don't forget he still brings it defensively, every play. Plus, he's going to have a legitimate 7 footer to do most of the banging, allowing KG to play more of a Bosh-esque role, and be a jump shooter.

Pierce averaged 18.5 and 5 last year, too. So yeah, they're old but still very productive.

If this fails, IMO, it won't be because of a lack of respect for a young coach, everyone loves Kidd. And it won't be for a lack of offense, it will be for terrible defense because no one on that lineup plays great defense besides maybe KG/Lopez.

I think this team can contend in the East. Lopez is underrated, averages 19 and 7. This team is loaded on paper. We'll see if it translates.

I think it's huge that Kidd has someone like KG on the team. He is a very well respected veteran and the ultimate pro. He will listen to and follow Kidd's instructions and be a leader.

This team should put some serious points on the board. They will be fun to watch.

I'm not a celtics fan but I'm going to miss KG being there. His energy was perfect for that city. He didn't start out that way, but he morphed into someone who I would think of as being a boston-type.
