Still do not understand why we do not offer him.
Has offers from Bama, Florida, FSU, Ohio State, Clemson.. and looks better than Yeargin.
A top 100 player by rivals, 247 and ESPN. Also top ten player in his position. And a very good friend and teammate of Mustipher!!!

I think we'll go hard after Williams this summer and look to get his commitment. If that doesn't occur and he insists on taking OV's, then you'll see us probably offer and try to get OV's from players like Jesse. We are using this as ammunition with Williams and if it doesn't work we go to plan B.

Why so enamored with Andrew Williams? Good Counsel's Aniebonam plays much better competition than Eagle's Landing. For that matter, so does so Florida's Yeargin. Yeargin and Williams will be at the Nike Opening. Granted, it's a dog and pony show, but Yeargin is going to turn some heads, especially the seven on seven events. Can Williams even play linebacker?

The staff seems to think so. Remember that CAT LB is also a 4-3 DE roughly 50% of the time.

TJ at II addressed this question earlier today. Wouldn't be surprised if Jesse gets the offer. We are waiting to get Williams and other OLB/DE types to campus first (ex. Solomon Thomas).

I read this on a gogamecocks.com article from May 8..."The visits Aniebonam has scheduled for the summer are Clemson, USC, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Alabama. Though he does not claim any favorites, he acknowledged that these visits are to schools of strong interest."
Any idea when this visit is scheduled for? He's one of my favorite recruits this year.

Thanks...Perhaps that's why the staff hasn't offered. They knew he was coming to camp with or without an offer and wanted to get a look at him in person.

Even so, we don't have room for both? Guy's a Top 100 player nationally and at the moment appears to be leaning toward Maryland (per 247 at least). Maryland.

He's already been to ND so I dont think it's about seeing him in person. He came with Mustipher on his first visit.

Yeah they visited together, neither w/ offers but Mustipher left the visit w/ one, Aniebonam did not

I remember there being some smoke with Aniebonam after that visit. It's all kind of vague right now, but I wanna say I remember thinking that we were actually sitting better with Aniebonam than Mustipher after the visit.
Could also just be making all this up- everything is a blur these days.

I'm aware of his previous visit. I meant get a look at him playing football, coach him up, see how he responds, etc. Maybe it's not about seeing him play. I was just throwing that out there.

Shocking as it is, our coaching staff seems to prefer other recruits, despite the ratings.
Because "we" don't issue the offers. The coaching staff does. As best I can tell, "we" aren't on the coaching staff.

To address the question, I haven't seen one eval on Jesse A. from any of the ND sites that would answer that question. He has everything that the I believe the staff looks for in a ROLB.
What was not serious about what I stated?
Things don't change, including message boards. Different posters, but it is still the same tired stuff. Round and round it goes.
