No Bones about it ...
A classmate and fellow Holy Cross Hog was John Gambone, AKA "Bones." He was on the football team. An internet search shows that he had one run in 1973 for 8 yards. No touchdown.
We were never really friends, but I sure appreciated it when he picked me up (along with a couple of other "Hogs") in his 'Vette when we were hitching a ride in Fort Lauderdale spring break my junior year.

It was a free association thing. There were a couple of references to bones. It triggered memories of a fellow Domer, life in Holy Cross Hall and a certain spring break.
Usually I'd have kept it to myself but it seemed like a good time for a "the old guy rambles yet again" post to interrupt the senseless speculation about EV as well as the doom and gloom about Golson.
