Notre Dame makes the move to the ACC for the upcoming season. Schedule details are starting to leak out.

We will definitely make the tournament barring two major injuries. I'll bet any amount of vbucks.

This.

Atkins and Grant are a top 15 backcourt. I will never doubt Brey's ability to manage this team to a fine regular season, especially when the ACC simply isn't as deep as the Big East.

Agrees were gonna make the tourny and there's always someone unexpected to step up this year I would guess knight or maybe Sherman cause we need a big guy to step up

I would put my money on Auguste. He is way more athletic than both Knight and Sherman.

My prediction for the starting 5..
Atkins, Grant, Connaughton, Auguste, Knight.

Jackson, Beidscheid, and Sherman coming off the bench

Ya I couldn't think of his name but I agree with you on the starting lineup

I dont think we make the tourney; the ACC is going to be stacked next season. UNC and Duke are both top 5 teams next year. We also would have to play Syracue, FSU, Pitt, and NC State.

On the bright side, I believe that DJ is special and could possibly turn into a Chris Paul type player if he learns to slow down his play and not rush everything.

Don't forget we win pretty much all our games at home so I still think we will make the tourny

Jackson will be a starter before the season is done. Make Grant a #3.

Arguably the best point guard I've ever seen while alive. I'm a little to young to remember John Stockton in his prime. So I kind of shake my head at that, but I'll wait until I see him live. I hope you're right.

Very weird. I guess it kind of helps with the issue of who gets playing time. But I'm worried about depth in the event of an injury.

I believe the decision also has to do with academics. Cam likely wants to take the year to focus on academics, bulk up, and improve his game in practice. It'll open up opportunities for Vasturia, Beachem, and Burgett.

By the way, I know they aren't necessarily the same type of player, but Burgett's size reminds me a lot of Abromaitis. I think he'll surprise a lot of people this year.

I am very excited to see what Brey can do with the athleticism we have on our team now. Demetrius Jackson will be a star. Our backcourt is going to be so awesome.

CBS picks the Irish to finish fourth in the ACC. I'll take it!

College Basketball Conference Previews: ACC - CBSSports.com

Assuming the Irish split the Iowa/Indiana games, drop one to Ohio State, and only lose to the three expected to finish above them, they're looking at 25 regular season wins. If nothing else (e.g. dropping ones they "shouldn't"), they should win more games than in 2012-2013.

We will lose conference games on the road to teams that finish below us in the standings. That is pretty much a certainty.

Over the last 10 years the 4th place ACC team has never had less than 6 losses in Conference. The preview states that the league will be even tougher with the new additions. Taking that and your other assumptions, I'm guessing a target of 22 to 23 regular season wins being more likely which is basically what we had last year.

I'm going to that game. It's in Madison Square Garden.

Really happy that Demetrius and Austin got to represent the 574, and represent it well. I thought they played good, as did VJ and Vasturia. If the freshman can play at this level through out the year, we will have very good guard play and even better depth behind it. I hope Auguste comes back healthy ASAP

Pretty sure there are no ND players on an NBA roster this year. Can't remember the last time that was true.
