I never really realized how big DD was. I know he's put on weight, but I didn't realize he was that tall.

That's teachable but he's right on every WR. I'm not concerned with contact right now, just great to see him in stride and all over everyone he's guarding.

Um, he also isn't getting his head around. I would say that he has played about as I expected. He has good speed but horrible technique. Unfortunately he is going to be a Junior next year, so his technique really needs to improve.

I hope GA3 can learn to lower his shoulder before the season starts. His size and speed would make him hard to handle.

No PM necessary- I'll do it here. This sort of closed-minded mentality that how a person wears a particular article of clothing somehow speaks to his intelligence and character is disgusting. How narrow-minded and pretentious can you possibly be to suggest that Manti is not representing himself well because he's wearing a backwards hat? This is a football game, not a boardroom. You want to judge someone? Judge yourself.

I'd rather him be blanketing receivers and have to learn to get his head around and hands off, rather than see him 3 yards off of the WR when the WR catches it because he doesn't have the athleticism to keep up.

I've seen that too often from ND DBs. For our 4th corner, I'm really liking what I'm seeing from him.

Been very disappointed in how Golson has looked. There are a lot of factors that go into that, that he can't control. However I have high expectations and he isn't even close to that right now.

Golson strikes me as a guy who has the "Steaming Willie Beamon" indifference toward practice and scrimmages, but when the lights go on in September he's ready to ball. I wouldn't worry too much about it, he'll be fine. More worried about a lack of targets.
