I really hope our new schedule is more managable week to week... all I am hearing is above average or better BCS schools... no school can win that way year after year.

This. And Bridgewater will be a senior that season... Louisville could be a Juggernaut. Scheduling getting straight up silly if we keep the Michigan game.

FSU, Stanford, USC, Michigan, Louisville.... yeah.... ok............. so basically the 2/3 top teams from the ACC, 2/3 top teams from PAC, and 1/2 top teams from B1G. Might as well throw in Oklahoma and Alabama and call it a year.

I don't think there is any way Bridgewater stays. He would be the top QB in this years draft. I am so looking forward to this. I grew up about 15 minutes from Louisville so I want nothing more than to curb stomp them.

If we play Temple and Eastern Michigan prior to, we will do just that... if our boys play Michigan, Pitt, FSU and then them... our Irish just may be the ones getting curb stomped...

Pray he leaves early. Lewan had no reason to come back to Michigan but said eff it and will be lining up at LT this season risking life and limb. Andrew Luck eschewed being the #1 draft pick to play another year. Barkley had a foot out the door before a lucky 10-2 season got him to stay in LA.

So definitely not counting this chicken before it hatches.

Yeah, ill second that id be stunned in Bridgewater is their QB in 2014. Guy is from Miami, not to be a stereotypical jerk, but the second he has a chance to make millions in guaranteed money hes gone.
Plus hes a sports management major, more than likely he will have most of his courses done by end of his junior year, because that major has a lot of internship credits.

This schedule is looking to be quite daunting as you guys have pointed out, not the best way to get to the new BCS playoff.

True, but most people around Louisville think he is gone. Plus his economic condition I think factors in a lot more than the others you mentioned. I get your point though.

Bridgewater and Strong have a lot of loyalty to each other. I could see him staying.

Teddy Ballgame seems to me like a guy that would stick it out for his senior year, especially if Louisville can build on last season.

Their toughest games are Ohio, Kentucky, (maybe) Rutgers and UC. And maybe USF, if they do as good as I think they will under Taggert. Even if these teams are strong... that still isn't a tough schedule for Louisville to navigate. I could see them running the table, getting left out of the Natl Championship game, winning a BCS game, and Bridgewater returning for their first season in the ACC.

Bridgewater is the number one pick in 2014. I doubt he'd come back.

Is this supposed to be in South Bend or Louisville? I'm hoping in Louisville. Fun, quick road trip.

Unless a team that already has a franchise QB gets the #1 pick, it would be foolish to pass on a QB prospect like Bridgewater for Clowney. Clowney is amazing and will destroy the NFL, but he's also a defensive end. It's important, but the best pass rusher for most of the last decade has been DeMarcus Ware. He has won, what, one playoff game? The best QBs have been Brady and Manning, with a combined 7 Super Bowl appearances.
