Kobe isn't let his career end on a note like this, although an injury like this likely closes any legitimate championship window...thought that we may make a push next season...Nobody works harder than Kobe, he'll rehab like a freak and barring any setbacks, will play again...Kobe is too much of a competitor and has too mucb pride to let this be the end...After the game, he said that he is already, "pi$$ed off" about what many analysts will say about him with an injury like this at this stage in his career...May mean he even signs a 1-yr deal since his contract is up after next season...Superman better have his cape ready

If he was younger and in his 20's then I would agree with you. He might have "too much pride" and be "too much of a competitor", but sometimes people have to listen to their bodies.

I don't really like Kobe, but I would still like to see him back but I think it is very unlikely.

Sucks. I was so excited to see OKC bury him in 4 games and his last game this season net 13 points off 25 shots.

Kobe, if you happen to be on IE this morning, I just want to let you know that I love you.

I love his quote: "If you see me fight a bear, pray for the bear".

Wow I'm not a Kobe "fan" necessarily but I HATE to see great players go down with injuries like this. He actually had a chance of breaking all-time scoring records. And he was playing SO hard down the stretch this season. Such a shame. Sad face.

I want nothing but the worst for the Lakers. However, if they could win their next two games and make it to the playoffs that would be great because then the Cavs would get their number 1 pick. That being said, **** the Lakers.

This really blows that the rigged NBA can't orchestrate the LA-MIA NBA finals like they hoped. I really feel bad for all those franchises.

A Kobe-Lebron Game 7 just would have been wonderful for the ABC ratings and my heart goes out to them and the refs who have to find new stars to appoint.

Haha. Remember when the NBA script writers picked the Lakers to win "Wrestlemania" back in 2010, and to really stir the audience, had the Lakers down double digits in Game 7, and then gave them 17 free throws in the last 8 minutes of the game to "come back and win?"
