His measurables are elite, and he has a growing list of respectable offers. I'm sure his ratings will catch up sooner or later.

Rivals seems to be the highest on him...any indication on the position he's being recruited for at ND?

The post that Sapp put up on the 247 board says NC DB offered by Notre Dame. However on II they spoke with the coach and he said they are recruiting him at WR and that is his preferred position.

His high school gets him the ball(wildcat/tailback) seven yards behind the line of scrimmage, and he takes off to find space. On Friday night, he's the fastest player on the field for a small school program(1-6 in their league last year). Placement in a division 1 program is anyone's guess. What I'm trying to say, he's a reach at WR. Last year's offers to Onwualu and Fuller were not reaches.

Since connect the dots sort of brought it up, I'll get it out there...

I'm not all too impressed with his tape. Lots of very poor angles by DBs and just a general lack of talent on the other side of the ball. I'll gladly accept him if he end up coming aboard, but I won't be all too thrilled about it. This year's recruiting strategy has been lost on me haha. Hopefully he's a, "here's an offer, but we won't accept your commitment unless we whiff on a few others."

His coach is a diehard ND fan. Thompkins has heard nothing but really good things about ND and is happily shocked they offered. He had previously talked with the coaches and thought an offer would be extended then, but when the offer didn't come he thought that was the end of him and Notre Dame. Will try to set up a visit as soon as possible.

The strategy changed once the three defections occured.

I'm well aware. But still... my simple mind doesn't get some of the decisions.

Maybe he will bust out at the camp circuit this year and I will eat my words, but I'm just not too impressed by his film.

Prove me wrong, DeAndre.

Clemson doesn't offer skill positions players who are slow and can't ball bro.

I get it. And I'm not always right. I was just making the point that he, nor his competition stood out to me. I'll be looking for his next highlight tape and camp tapes.

He looks like one heck of an athlete but I worry about his ball skills because you don't see too much of it during his tapes. He's either fielding punts or taking snaps in most those highlights. I would agree the competition looks pretty poor. With that said you can clearly see his athleticism and he one of those kids you get on campus and find a spot for him.

He is perfect for the hybrid RB/slot position. He just reminds me of a more athletic Theo Riddick.
