The first company to ever win it 2 years, and is currently undefeated. Here is a link to their response.

EA's Reponse To Being Named 'The Worst Company in America' - Dorkly Article

The attitude of this response shows everyone exactly why they were voted the worst. They belittle their customer base and generally take an unapologetic stance on the matter. He specifically states that if you want them to change then you have to stop buying their games, and force them to get better. I for one would really like a good college football and basketball to come out instead of the garbage that EA has been putting out since they signed exclusive agreements with the NCAA that barred any real competition. The good news is that EA's college football agreement ends soon which could open the door for 2k to step in and really show them how to make a game.

EA agrees to give up NCAA Football exclusivity - GameSpot.com

I just want some competition in the sports gaming market because it is getting extremely repetitive right now and needs some challengers. Plus next years games going to be developed for the next gen consoles so 2k's entry back into college sports should be very interesting.

I wish 2k made a new college hoops game with a my career mode like NBA but due to some d***heads lawsuit that wont probably ever happen.

Edit: By the way this is the real statement We Can Do Better - EA News

I was going to buy a couple of EA games this year...Battlefield 4 and NCAA 14 are high on my list. His response has convinced me to hold off. His sense of marketing and business ethics is off - just a little.

I've been TweetBombing EASports and EANCAAFootball every chance I get. Anything they post, I reply with a tweet asking if the next reveal is more roster space.

Haven't gotten a response haha.

I'm not saying EA doesn't suck but I'm pretty sure that letter is fake. Why would they send out a statement on the most evil looking .jpg image imaginable with a slightly off center greyed-out version of their logo?

I buy NCAA every year. I can't not do it.

But they seriously ****ed up on SimCity. As a city planner, this disturbed me greatly.

Lol but "every sim in your city has their own life and acts as an individual!"

EA screws up a lot, but there have to be far worse. I guess being a semi-retired online gamer, I just dont care anymore.

No. No there are not. They screw up a lot. They purchase competition and force them to make games with their ****** policies (looking at you Bioware).

About their policies, they are fighting against piracy by forcing paying customers to jump through hoops like online passes and unnecessary DRM. (While actual pirates play their cracked version of their games that don't have the DRM.) They also are leading the charge against a gamer's ability to sell and purchase used games, and have shown that they will not rest until a game-purchaser does not truly own the game he buys. They are also in the business of nickel-and-diming customers through "on-disc dlc" and aggressively pushing "subscription gaming" on the market. They also have the worst customer service I've ever had to deal with and have pulled all of their games off of Steam in order to force PC gamers to download their service "Origin". Which is a much shittier, slower, and less convenient version of the same thing that has been shown to look through your PC's files.

They are basically the gamer version of Satan.

I know two that make their living in the gaming industry... my best mans older brother was a designer for the battlefield games... According to both of my friends in the industry EA denies bonuses, breaks promises and demands extra from their employees. two weeks ago I sat down with my battlefield buddy and NCAA got brough up... He foamed at the mouth for ten minutes on EA... And he's not really the type to do that...

With what he told me I was kind of thinking, "yeah that's not even legal, I'm sure this is embellished..." But....

No doubt they a are a pain in the ***, and Origin is a steaming pile of suck. I logged probably 3,000 hours online between BF42, BFV, BF2, BF2142 (NOT), BFBC, BFBC2, BFBC2 Vietnam, and BF3, but had many issues through the years. Sure they can suck. no doubt, but there have be worse companies. Simplified, I enjoyed tons of hours with these games, in my eyes, there are worse choices. Not that it matters, the internet is stupid.

Ah. I misunderstood. My fault. I thought you were saying there were worse gaming companies. Obviously an entertainment company is going to come up short against other countries that break international law and produce massive oil spills. Yes the internet is stupid.

Both responses are great. I personally don't care because FIFA, NBA2K, GTA4, and Dead Rising are the only new generation games I still play.

I feel like the great and powerful Oz when I play an EA game and get utterly disgusted for any of a myriad of reasons.

You don't need to be an IT professional, or expert programmer to see what the wonderful EA team was able to do with current hardware for the most recent FIFA release. Likewise, any layman can tell when a game is underfunded and programmed by the proverbial 10,000 monkeys. The NCAA franchise is a disaster from a game development point of view. I can nano blitz the computer in a simulated dynasty and see my rushing defense go into the hundreds of thousands of yards per game because they didn't do type checking on signed or unsigned integer values. It should be embarrassing for them, but in reality it's embarrassing to us, because we continue to buy it. That monopoly should have been dealt with years ago. Not sure who's fault that is, rather that choosing the singular, I lean toward the collective. Of which, EA is the largest contributor.

Does anyone remember NCAA Football National Championship for Sega? That by far was my favorite game ever made. Does anyone know who made it?

BlueSky Software, who subsequently closed their doors in 2001. 2k is the logical challenger, once the NCAA exclusive licensing deal expires after/in (unclear) 2014.

Just give me an updated version of the infinity engine (physics) and an 85 man roster and that would be a HUGE step in the right direction. Not that they've taken many of those lately...

EDIT: Fix the DB glitch. Just like "super-linebackers" last year, it's a game breaker; mechanics wise.

Pretty sure Wal-Mart should have topped that list as Worst company in America.
