Packers signed Matt Mulligan to replace Tom Crabtree yesterday, not sure they would spend a 1st round pick on Eifert now.

Falcons are on the Clock.

Btw are we going for a full Round 2? If so, Pat Murray, P/K out of Fordham is very high on my board.

We will attempt to get through a 2nd round, so that kicker may very well be available. If not you can sign him as a UFA.

The kid is Irish so im biased "Dough Marrone is going to draft Nassib at 8th overall" style.

Try this again.

With the 30th pick in the 2013 draft....The Atlanta Falcons select Kevin Minter, ILB, LSU.

Like most LSU prospects, Minter signed as a highly regarded prep athlete. He redshirted in 2009 and served as a backup to current Buffalo Bills starting linebacker Kelvin Sheppard in 2010, registering 15 total tackles.

Minter emerged as LSU's starting middle linebacker a season later, ranking fifth on the team with 61 tackles. He also registered 3.5 tackles for loss and a sack. While observers expected Minter to improve in his second season in the middle, few predicted he'd explode as one of the most productive linebackers in the country.

Minter earned consensus First Team All-SEC honors, was named a Butkus Award finalist and received a host of All-American recognition for a breakout junior campaign that saw him nearly double his tackle numbers (111) and actually lead a gifted LSU defense with 13.5 tackles for loss (including three sacks).

Minter's anticipation, penchant for the game-turning play and production against elite competition speaks for itself. However, he'll have to turn around a troubling trend for LSU linebackers in the NFL. Despite frequently churning out all-conference linebackers, few have gone on to enjoy similar distinction in the NFL.

Instinctive and physical, Minter was the most dependable player on an LSU defense chock-full of prospective NFL talent.

With the 31st pick in the 2013 IE NFL Draft the SF 49ers select Desmond Trufant, CB, Washington.

Trufant is physical and fast. Can cover the slot receiver or outside. The 49ers do have needs at safety with the departure of Dashon Goldson and Matt Elam would be a good pick here but Trufant is too good to pass on. He has an NFL pedigree as both his brothers are NFL players. (Look for the 49ers to trade down a couple of slots here if possible as there are a lot of good safeties on the board and a team will likely give up good value to get Trufant)

That is a steal! Love the pick. He can be the 9ers 3rd corner and put Culliver on the bench.

The 49ers don't need to trade down as they have the 34th overall pick in the draft to take Elam.

The Jags need a pass rusher and he is the best available.
