If he doesn't suit up for lacrosse for the Buckeyes this is best case scenario if he's not coming to ND. I dislike Ohio State lacrosse more than any other team in any other sport.

Really can't fault Hubbard. The logic is sound... full ride for a sport where you can possible makes millions of dollars or partial ride for a sport with no big time pro league. Pretty easy choice if you have NFL dreams.

Who else are you predicting?
Mustipher and Bookser (not so confident on Bookser), not to mention Dante Booker (almost synonymous with Bookser... :) ).

Full list of unofficial visits can be found here. Scroll down to April 5th to 7th on the first post (which is a long one).

edit: Not to mention Bill Green's prediction of 2-3 commits this weekend. Huge weekend for us.

Mustipher? Really? You're extremely confident on Mustipher?

I think he ends up with tOSU eventually... So yeah, I think we get Mustipher this weekend. But we'll know by Tuesday whether I'm right.

Another kid I forgot about is Derek Kief... And I want Marshon Lattimore to commit, but he is from Glenville and Ted Ginn Sr. usually has his top players wait until close to the signing day to get attention to other less talented graduating seniors around them. So I don't think he'll commit this weekend.

they'd have to really hit one out of the park to get mustipher, who seems to be pretty high on us...i'd be pretty bummed if that turns out to be the case

Mustipher could definitely pull an Ezekiel Elliot but of all the recruits OSU has on campus this weekend I never thought he would be a club house favorite to pull the trigger.

He had glowing this to say about ND, I doubt he turns around and commits this weekend. Down the line, maybe but not this weekend.

We'll know soon enough.

Remember OL is the greatest need for this class for us after missing out on numerous prospects last year. We even took Tim Gardner because of that. Warinner has been on Mustipher's ear for a while now, and (I think) Vrabel is his area recruiter. Those two are extremely potent recruiters. Vrabel is likely the best recruiter we have, after Coombs. Which I why I am expecting at least 1 OL commit this weekend. Huge weekend for us. We'll see...

Mustiper loves Hiestand plus Hiestand > Warriner, and it's not even close

Warinner is at best a marginal coach and recruiter. If a kid is coming to Ohio State it's because Ohio State sells well, has a great head coach, has other recruiters that are great, etc.

You have no idea how happy everyone at ND is that Warinner is gone... our OL has gotten so much better and in one year Hiestand landed a better class than Warinner landed in all of his years combined. Want to know why you missed on so many prospects last year? Look at the recruiter.

Um... the same OL which got blown out in the NCG? Before Warinner, we had Bollman, who took the Brew Crew and turned them into middling players. UFM labeled the OL as "non-functional" when he arrived, and the offense as a "clown show." Warinner arrived, and the OL was grading champions in games the first year, according to UFM. And you have no idea how happy some fellow buckeyes, and I myself, are that Bollman is the Sparty OL coach. I don't buy the grapes are sour argument at all. (And I think that's all it is). BK wanted Warinner for a reason. He turned out great for us.

Warinner may not be a super-recruiter like Coombs or Vrabel or Meyer, but he was an upgrade from Bollman, who only had 8-12 OL on the team at any given time. 2013 was a WEIRD year for OL recruiting for us. Which is why OL recruiting is what it is for us right now. If you're happy Warinner's gone from ND, so am I, cause we got him! And I am very happy we got him.

You might even end up getting Mustipher, which I doubt, but I like the recruiting classes we've gotten so far for the past 2 years (apart from the OL). But I am sure it will turn out well once our coaches build relationships with OL from across the country. (And I think part of the reason why we didn't get enough OL for 2013 was because we didn't have time to build relationships with OL's, and other coaches were able to due to the short duration of time they had been in place.) For this reason, I think Jamarco Jones is crucial for us. If we lose out on him, that would be trouble for us, but until then, I am quite happy we got Warinner.

Yeah, on the list of reasons ND got blown out by 'Bama, OL play is down near the very bottom. ND's OL put up better YPG rushing last year than they ever did under Warriner despite losing our best runner in Jonas Grey.

Please come talk to me when you play any real teams, much less Alabama.

Actually, BK didn't renew Warriner's contract. Nice revisionist history though. At first, people on here flipped about letting Warinner go. Then once Hiestand came in and the lgiht went on... everyone understood. Just because he's an upgrade over your apparently horrible previous coach doesn't mean he's a good coach.

By Rivals...
In Warriner's 2 classes we signed a total of 5 OL: 3 3:s: players, 2 4:s: players... highest rated was #70 nationally, none others in top 100.
In Hiestand's 1 class we signed a total of 5 OL: 1 high 3:s: and 4 4:s:... multiple in the top 100.

I'm almost positive you get Jamarco (and actually thought he would be one to pop this weekend). Very well might get Mustipher too. But trust me, it's not because of Warinner. It's because of everything else that is Ohio State.

Yes, the OL which ended the season ranked 9th nationally in rushing offense, despite the NCG debacle.

BK wanted Warinner for a reason. He turned out great for us.

Kelly had every opportunity to keep Warriner, but he chose to promote Chuck Martin instead.

Warinner may not be a super-recruiter like Coombs or Vrabel or Meyer, but he was an upgrade from Bollman, who only had 8-12 OL on the team at any given time.

That's not very high praise. Certainly less than "Warriner... is a very potent recruiter." Indefensible puffery. He was a non-factor in recruiting at ND, so you're not going to convince anyone here that we lost something special.

1. Your O-line (and the rest of your overrated team) would have gotten raped by Bama even worse than ND's did. You can take your weak-*** SEC non-conference schedule and stick it up your trolling ***. If you really want to get into who had a better team (and a better O-line) PLEASE let me know.

2. You call Ed Warriner a 'very potent recruiter', but then you rip the recruiting of his position. Hmmmmmmm. Your argument makes ZERO sense. His replacement at ND straight kicked his 'very potent' arse in O-line recruiting AND he was responsible for getting a couple of other recruits to ND as well. If the guy who coaches the position that killed you guys in recruiting last year is a 'very potent recruiter', then LOL at you for your football knowledge.

3. Ask any of ND's players (and reporters did) - not only did they not really like Warriner, they have learned much more from Heistand in his short time here. He's simply a better O-line coach whom the players LOVE to play for. They viewed Warriner as a coach who coached O-line (and was looking to move up), whereas Heistand is viewed as one of them, an O-line coach who wants to coach O-line and nothing else.

4. Warriner actually had a bit more time than Heistand did to 'build relationships' and yet he still kicked the sh!t out of Warriner on the recruiting trail (with FAR easier admissions at OSU). ****ing HORRIBLE excuse by you. Now THAT'S a sour grapes excuse.

5. So......Heistand > Warriner. It's not sour grapes, so take the sour grapes and kindly STFU. You're a guest here...post accordingly, but don't talk crap about what our posters are saying.
