I tend to agree but Keith Arnold had an article yesterday saying Kelly was less than thrilled with the decision. Who knows honestly.

Kelly isn't the one that showed him any love to begin with this season.

If Brian did intentionally leave cierre off, which I doubt, it's probably because they're still not on good terms.

Idk why Kelly would be so upset with wood leaving, whenever he didn't utilize him when he had the chance.

Kelly forgets names all the time when he has a list to talk out during presscons and has to ask others if he forgot anyone. This was an oversight which he quickly corrected and then some.

Cierre Woods instagram is gonna get him in trouble with teams at the combine, at least questions. I just read an article on the combine website about how they look at social media now more than ever to determine character of a player.

Half of Woods pictures he's holding a bottle and or looks high. I just can't understand how someone in that position would even care to put up pics like that. Maybe I'm looking too much into it, he is a college kid but still. If I were putting millions into a kid I would take these pics as some sort of red flag.

Hopefully they'll see the home-made christmas ornaments on his pinterest.

Kelly knows how Woods rolls better than us...both on and off the field. I trust Kelly.

Answered my own question. It looks like they will start live coverage on Saturday when the on-field drills start.

That is some funny stuff........had me chuckling, thanks!

As for pics of him with bottles and drinking, poor choice but let's be honest, he isn't the first kid in college to drink. I think the fact he has a kid already and wants to do right by the kid is honorable and something he should be commended for.........I bet he goes in 3-4th round.

Loved watching Cierre play for ND. i hope he can handle being a pro athlete and all that comes with it. Maybe getting drafted late will give him the chip on the shoulder that will drive him on.

It's not really the drinking more so he is high in a bunch of his pics.

I think he will go in the 6th round.

And you wonder why? Again, if Cierre was so great and deserved to be on the field, don't you think Kelly would've had him on the field? He obviously was a distraction or couldn't behave off it.

Although I didn't attend ND, there is more to being an ND football player than just what you do on the field. It's obvious that Cierre didn't want to do those things.

I'm not going to go into where I stand on the Cierre argument, I've probably annoyed you guys with my argument of Theo>Cierre.

But Armando Allen was one of my favorite ND players of all time. Theo reminded me much of him. Since we're on the topic of the NFL draft, and we already know Armando's ceiling in the NFL, how do you guys think Theo compares to Armando as far as NFL potential? Before you say Theo>Armando because of catching, Armando had some of the best RB hands I've ever seen.

It's similar, I'd expect Theo to get drafted in the 6th-UDFA. It's potentially higher because he doesn't have injuries/surgeries Armando had. I think he could be a very good 3rd down back but he has doesn't have the complete skillset to be a feature back.

Cierre Wood I see being out of the league in 2-3 years... just my opinion.

I agree.

I think Theo can be a Woodhead type player for the right team.

Theo plays much, much harder than Mando did. Runs with an attitude.

Mando was so-so for me. As was Darius Walker.

I agree, but I also can envision a scenario where a team like the Patriots select Theo earlier than expected because of his versatility and experience at both WR and RB. With the move by several teams to more of a wide open attack, Slot WRs have become increasingly valuable in the league, and if you can augment this by also provided depth at RB, it only increases your value to teams who must plan around the 53 gameday roster limit.

Simply put, if you are asking me who I want on my roster, I am taking a Theo over a Danny Woodhead / Julian Edelman every day of the week. Not to often you get those Slot WRs skills in a player who runs with power while not sacrificing elusiveness.

Definitely agree with Lax on Wood. Hope I am wrong, but I just don't see him being a successful NFL RB.

I'd say Woodhead and Theo are about the same player. Woodhead runs hard as well.

Mayock seems to think Riddick could go late 3rd, early 4th as long as he performs well this weekend.

True. But I think, like others have said, his versitilty helps him.

IF he's the player we all think he is, you can line him up all over the place.

As a true "running back"...probably not a fit at the pro level. But as a plug and play guy? I think he can get on the field.

What would we consider a good 40 time for riddick?

Anything less than <4.55 would be really good for him IMO. His shiftiness and moves show up all over his tape, but his straight line speed is tough to gauge. In two years, I have seen him be caught from behind by both a Navy Midshipman and a BYU Cougar. No bueno.

I don't expect him to have a good time, but perhaps 40 yards is short enough to not really hurt him. He does have great burst, so I expect his early splits to be great, and then to plunge towards the end of the trek.

don't see theo in the 4.5 range...he looks like a 4.6. never been a home run guy, but if he does time in the 4.5's that will definitely be great for his stock

At the NFL level that is not good...sheesh. I'm 250lbs and I ran a 4.76 in college playing TE!

But he does have the moves like Jagger.
