Bio:
Post Tribune Defensive Player of the Year and Maxpreps 2014 All-American following the 2011 season. Also finished 3rd in the 220-pound weight class at the IHSAA wrestling state championships in 2012. The son of former NBA standout Glenn Robinson. Older brother Glenn Robinson III signed to play basketball at Michigan in 2012.

Seriously? Name your first son Glenn III and your second son Gelen? What are the odds that he has a sister named Glenna? Just go the George Foreman route at that point Big Dog. Sheesh.

Won the title last night, finished season undefeated. Will focus on football in college, so ND in mix if they like what they see. Only offer so far is from Illinois.

Indiana. Very competitive. The whole midwest is good. I had 3 HS teammates go to top programs (2 to Iowa, 1 to Minnesota). The Region (NWI) and Evansville area consistently churn out top wrestlers.

Thanks for the info!

I remember how my kid would always have two or three kids that placed nationally in the AAU, in his weight classes for tournament. And back in the day we regularly had weight classes that had two or three champs or runners (out of the top four placers) up in what was the City league of Toledo at the time. St Francis de Salles was definitely the team to beat. But St Johns and Cardinal Stritch were probably top ten Catholic teams in the state, too. Rogers was a bear, and there were some good kids at other schools too. Springfield dominated the NLL, (suburbs) for years too. Nice to see wrestling is still strong in Ohio.

St. Eds in Cleveland is the number 1 in Ohio right now as far as I'm aware. They are freaks up there.

They were always really good, along with Maple Heights. Back in my day, when it was St. Joe's, it was Bob Golic against St Ed's Tom Cousineau. Them was battles.

Michigan and OSU both have low scholarship numbers as does MSU. I think in regular years if those schools were taking full classes he might have got himself an offer.

Michigan commit Lawrence Marshall is rated a good deal higher and he's a taller, longer DE at around 6'3/6'4, but Robinson is the better player right now even at 6'1 and it wouldn't surprise me to see him have the better career in college. Michigan has had some success with shorter DE's in the past like Woodley who was 6'2 and Brandon Graham who was 6'1.

Given who his father is it is also certainly realistic that Robinson grows a few inches.

His recruitment isn't over IMO (not that any ever are). When things start to take shape, I can see him snaring a few offers that will make him think twice, but would love to see him go to Purdue.

Not sure he'll waver. The new coach is supposed to be a good recruiter and he could see the field early.
