Hilarious. He'd be deadly if he trimmed down as Audeirish said....

But guys at the next level will destroy him. He runs upright and he's slow. Would make a great pulling guard.

Fangupo commits to UH | West Hawaii Today, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

By Joe Ferraro
West Hawaii

2/6/13

...

The 6-foot-2, 348-pound Fangupo was sitting on a bench at Kealakehe High during his lunch period on Tuesday when Chow reached him. The phone call, Fangupo said, marked the first time anybody from the Hawaii football program communicated with him.

BYU, Georgia Tech, Utah and a host of junior colleges had expressed interest in the senior, with BYU and Georgia Tech also offering full scholarships in the past two weeks. But Fangupo said he wanted to stay relatively close to home. He had strongly considered attending the College of the Redwoods, a junior college in Eureka, Calif.

...

Before his senior season, Fangupo had played defensive tackle, offensive guard and offensive tackle. But Kealakehe coach Sam Papalii, beginning his second stint as the team’s head coach last fall, saw the quick feet and athleticism of a skill position player when he evaluated Fangupo.

So Papalii inserted him at fullback, and Fangupo responded by rumbling for 538 yards and 10 touchdowns on 74 carries for a 10-2 Kealakehe team that won its third consecutive Big Island Interscholastic Federation title.

Fangupo said Chow did not tell him what position he’d play for the Warriors. But the senior said he’d accept any assignment the coaching staff gives him.

dear lord imagine if he accepted that offer at GT

That is a scary thought haha. He is athletic, and he could be some kind of "special skill" player if he lost some weight. Hit the weight room and he may just be a darn good d-lineman for Hawaii.

I'm sorry but none of that is overly impressive. A simple trap, and the opposing teams didn't touch him until he was ten yards into the defense. That was downright pathetic tackling, they're a bunch of children afraid of him landing on them.

I would be interested in what a man who can move like that can do as a DT/NG though.

...would set NCAA record for red zone efficiency...

I'm shocked people can't see this kid's gifts...somebody better check in with Bettis, because I'd swear those are his feet.

Oh please. If Jerome Bettis played in a league where tackling knees was apparently frowned upon, he'd have scored every play. If a Notre Dame coaches watched this, they wouldn't get around to offering him because they'd be too busy throwing up at the sight of such vomit-inducing tackling and the nonexistent angles of defensive backs playing "catch the runningback" instead of "attack the running back."

If he doesn't get his weight down so he can move, I'll give him about one quarter of action until a college safety flies in and completely tears his knee to pieces. Seriously.

Also, there's like 3 runs.......I want to see the rest.

I don't know...2 runs were against 1 team. He's not necessarily bad, but I'd put him about on the same YouTube level as the "Cinnimon Challenge".

Will probably be an athletic DT in college. Also, how perfect is his name for a fat kid?

ooh...Jerome...damn...he does looked pissed doesn't he.

kid has great feet, and in the three runs I saw he cut and had vision good enough to play in an option attack...if he's my dive option I'm laughing my *** off at Dline and backers...freaking battering ram that could hit a crease.

I'd take him for sure if I'm GA tech or an academy...
