Irish down 31-29 at the half. Knight had a decent half, Sherman looked completely overmatched when he was on the floor, Auguste got a few mins but wasnt able to make an impact. ND struggling to score, hit a few 3s but missed some good looks.

This team is pretty poor offensively. They need a go to scorer... thought that would be Grant this year. Oh well. They play pretty darn hard on the defensive end especially for the lack of overall athleticism.

Honestly I've heard the opposite. A talented offense but no defense.

59th in points, 3rd in assists, 7th in shooting percentage. All nationally.

Cam getting some confidence, hit his last two 3s plus 3 free throws in a row

The more I watch this team, the more I think they were recruited by the anti-Brey. They look like they could really run down the court. Next year's offense should be soooo much more fluid and generally faster than anything we've seen under Brey. Atkins, Grant, Biedscheid, Jackson. Oh man that is talent. Throw in Connaughton who has played very well this season, that's more competent guards than we've seen in the Brey era, no?

Cam has knocked down some big 3s so far in 2nd half, Knight just had a monster block!

Knight has been a monster defensively this week.

Biedscheid is going off. A bit of a coming out party for him.

Auguste playing hard and contributing a bit too tonight. Might be the end of the Sherman era, which I'd be fine with.

They are ranked something like 186th in the country defensively.

Knight has been an awesome surprise recently. The entire offense revolves around hitting 3s.

I guess I'm an idiot. I didn't look at numbers at all. I've watched maybe 5 games this year (Kentucky, Purdue, Georgetown, UCONN) and in every one we seemed to play good defense with usually questionable offense. Guess I didn't see the big picture.

Completely agree Auguste looks like could contribute down the stretch which is awesome! Sherman is a liability...Cooley, Knight, and Auguste all offer more no reason for Sherman to get more minutes.

no, you're not an idiot at all. In games they play with a lot of energy (Kentucky comes to mind for sure), the defense isn't bad. Just seems like for the most part they have no fire on the defensive end and couple that with the lack of athletic ability to stay in front of people, they get torched more often than not.

Thank God Auguste and Knight came in for Sherman. Had hated his play for most of the season.

Just got back from my meeting...

Watched the highlights.... HUGE WIN!

Ive always loved Tom as a person, glad to see he's starting to live up to his potential.

Brey really needs to start forking over minutes to Zach. We need him to rack up good minutes before the Big East Tourney.

And Cameron, awesome bounce back game after a couple lack luster games.

Yeah, great bounce back from Cam, huge second half from him. I agree about Auguste. Hopefully he keeps improving. The FT shooting and TO at the end were disappointing but otherwise a really solid second half and big win.

Gonna need more offense from Atkins, Grant and Connaughton. Combined 16 pts on 6-23 shooting ain't gonna cut it come tourney time. Glad Biedshied came through tonight!!! 'Nova doesn't have a great record, but they have been playing very well lately.

Very big win. The team really needs to start gelling and improving. Upcoming run:

@DePaul
@Syracuse
Louisville
DePaul
@Providence

Must go 3-2, if not 4-1 with a marquee victory over SU or UofL. ND's best wins are BYU, Kentucky and Cincinatti. Not good.

Good day of Big East basketball today. Cuse and Pitt on now, ND vs DePaul @ 2, Louisville vs Marquette also @ 2.

Syracuse now has two losses. Marquette cannot finish the season with only one Big East loss. There are a lot of teams sitting at three losses who can climb right back into this race, Notre Dame being one of them.

Crush DePaul first obviously.

got off to another sluggish start but it appears they haven't waited as long to wake up.
