Yea agreed with Steelhead. My god, he was an SEC/ND talent. Auburn was recruiting RBs like crazy in the south. How does he not get a look from there... odd. Definitely more than grades.

The good news is if there is something really off with this kid, ESPN will use "former ND commit" instead of "Texas State commit."

Can't argue with you on that one. This first year of following it so closely has taken years off my life.

And you started with one of the best, tamest years in recruiting, so you can only imagine what has happened before.

I really liked this kid and wish him nothing but success in the future. I have a feeling he really wanted to be at ND but for reasons discussed already, it just wasn't going to happen. Hope to see him dominate at TSU.

Texas State runs one of the best pistol offenses around. Very heavily focused on run first and featuring creating space for the backs. I think this is a strong fit and he will excel on the field there.

was Texas State the college in the movie Necessary Roughness????

Indeed

The film touches on an up-and-coming season at the fictional higher learning institution of Texas State University and its football team nicknamed the Fightin' Armadillos.[2] (At the time the film was made, there was no Texas State University, but in 2003, Southwest Texas State University changed its name to Texas State University, nicknamed the Bobcats, which coincidentally was the "season opener" opponent of the fictional Texas State Armadillos). Texas State's predicament—they are forced to start the season with a host of new coaches and players after the previous staff and players were removed after a scandal—is based on the "death penalty" handed out to the Southern Methodist University football team by the NCAA in 1987 for team violations very similar to the ones that the fictional Texas State is accused of.

Dumbly, I never knew there was a Texas state. Are they the Armadillos?

Scott Bakula was so dreamy as a rugged, prodigal QB.

Sinbad too. Sinbad, folks. Sinbad.

Texas State is actually south of Austin like 30 mins in San Marcos. Huge party school with a solid new DI program. The TX tech of south tx..lucky to make it 4 yrs without an STD. Not the armadillos but rather the bobcats. Heard sam Houston state offered late and was going to go there but had a high school teammate going to tx state so chose them
