Here is what his dad said about it...
""The main thing he wants to make perfectly clear is that USC is still heavily considered," said his father. "From the outside looking in, it may seem odd and people won't understand it."

"USC has done nothing wrong. The recruiting process has been fine and they didn't do anything to drive him away. He let the staff know he was de-committing three weeks ago, so they do know. He is considering other schools and held onto [de-committing] because this was a lot to take in and it wasn't an easy thing to do. "

He didn't say favored just considered. My hunch is his dad saw the train wreck coming and they talked about looking elsewhere. GBD you have been closer to this then me, but didn't the USC rumors pop back up after he tweeted about USC a few days ago? I still like our chances.

It was from some USC posters this weekend.

Where do you feel EV ends up? I can't see him going back to USC. I mean, he decommitted and it was a better situation then; it's only gotten worse since he decommitted.

That's my feeling as well. I can't remember the last time USC was this low: pre-season #1 to unranked at 7-6, fights breaking out in the locker room, the HC is a national laughingstock who's seat gets warmer by the minute, top recruiting class collapsing, staff screwing over highly ranked recruits (Fitts), etc.

Troy looks like a sinking ship, and there's so many factors for opposing coach's to use against them in recruiting, they probably don't know where to start.

I also like how he was adamant that USC get the final visit, but now they are going first. Or was that USC that insists on the final visit? Either way, doesn't seem like EV cares what they want.

I can see a coach sitting down and pulling out this paper that starts to unroll across the floor and doesn't stop until it hits the recruits feet.

I think USC said take your visits but we are last and he respected that until he decided he is Irish. He is a bright and respectful man , so he is not being disrespectful by not going their for the official. My guess will be just a trip to go through the motions.

Same. I'd like to see the percentage of commits that re-commit to their original school after decommiting. I bet it's pretty low.

Lol the last 2 5 star DL we got actually recommitted to their original school after decommiting.

STOP IT WITH YOUR LOGIC!

But that's not the norm. We've lost many recruits to other schools in just the last 4 recruiting cycles. On the flip side, we've stolen many recruits that chose to "open up their recruitment" like Redfield, Bryant, and Randolph.

Of our starting 22, Golson, TJ Jones, Nix, and Spond were all flips. Plus there are several more in our 2/3 deep.

Tuitt and Nick Martin (presumed starter) as well.

I was only counting this past years starters (hence no Martin) and Tuitt flipped BACK to ND within like 36 hours. Hardly a real decommit.

But I digress.

First time poster but wow indeed. If we get this much attention over a possible lie, why is there no coverage of MANDATORY misused injections that caused a heart attack?

Unbelievable, but when the news media feels like they got duped, they react like a woman scorned.

Because people don't care about finding the truth; they just want to complacently live their lies, and point their fingers at someone else.

Proof. Most scorned women blame the scorner, any bystanders, never taking a deep look at themselves, and their responsibility for what transpired.

It's amazing what the media decides to chase. I hope that he wins his case...that's horrible if true.

I want EV!
