We, Not say the Wolvs', with Troy Crashing, need to draw nearby prodigies like this.

Update from Mele at ISD that Notre Dame is recruiting him at RB, not another position.

It's pretty obvious to me that Kelly is trying as hard as he can to get this team to "look" like Alabama walking out of the locker room..

Bryant/Isaac in the backfield with Folston making the switch to either slot or CB full-time is how I see it.

I'm hoping it's this. Folston on defense would kill me. No doubt he could do it, but it's just like I said about Davonte Neal last year ... Folston doesn't fit our physical profile for DBs, but he shows off-the-charts potential on offense with his elusiveness. I will seriously be bummed if he moves to D.

Then again, it worked for KvR ...

I agree.. If anyone was going to get a shot at DB I'd like to see Kinlaw. 6'2" 185 right now.. I think he could grow into a real athletic, physical corner.

I'd also like to see Folston in the slot.. Just too impressive with the ball in his hands.

i guess landing three stud RB's this year will allow us to hold out for the one we really want in 2014

Does anyone think Isaac could play LB with Folston and Bryant in the fold.

He could play a few different positions. He could play LB, Folston could play CB..the versatility is awesome. Will they? Most likely not and will get a chance at RB.

Does no one read this sh!t?

He's being recruited as a RB.

If down the road, he plays something else, well then great.

But the staff is looking at him as a RB.

Good gosh ol'mighty.

Yeah, Johnny but what position are they recruiting him at? Do you know?

lol. Thanks johnny. This thread was giving me a little deja vu today. We've definitely covered all this stuff about what position Isaac will play. Check back through the last few pages, anyone who's interested.

I am guessing that if the staff is recruiting Isaac as a RB, then they may have talked to Folston about switching positions already and that he was likely receptive to the idea. The question is whether it is to slot or CB as WhosAWildManNow pointed out. Maybe this all means that the injury situations in the defensive backfield are not all 100% positive and the staff is therefore trying this move to shore up a little more depth there. Just throwing this out there as a possible explanation for the renewed interest in Isaac.

I disagree.

I think the staff is saying, may the best man win.

May he that is best fit for the job, take it.

And may he who doesn't win find some other position if he is able.

That's championship football, IMO.

I agree. The staff just thinks that Isaac is a can't-miss playmaking athlete. I tend to agree, weak performance at UA camp be damned.

As it should be, competition breeds success. Let the best player play, in my opinion that title will belong to Greg Bryant.

He is being recruited as a running back and I want Ty Isaac to be part of this class. Ya he might not have break away speed but he is a 5* back that we have a chance to steal away from our RIVAL. Plus he is a Chicago kid.

If this dude wants in, you have to do everything you can to make room. I say we do like Saban and pull one of the 3-stars' scholarships. We have too many WR's anyway.
