Does everyone feel good about him making the Irish visit?

I personally don't.

I wish USC wasn't first.

In my opinion a lot of kids that take their time in the process aren't the sort to be swayed on a visit and commit on the spot. I do think EV will take both visits (not the Bama visit) and make a decision after. The coaches have been after him and he seems intrigued to the point that he would want to visit ND even if the USC visit is a great one.

My point in saying that is that in this situation, it's good that ND has the last visit.

We don't have the last visit.
Bama does.

i like where your mind is, but isn't bama supposedly the last visit???

how do you not give the 2 time defending champs a look??

I hear you, and he very well may make that visit. Just seemed that with the way his recruitment had gone they came out of nowhere.

But hey, they've positioned themselves to be able to jump into damn near any recruitment.

I would be surprised personally if EV does not make all of his visits and wait until NSD to make his decision public. At that point I think it is quite likely he announces that a certain small Catholic instiution in Northern Indiana looked really nice in the snow and he would be seeing how it looks in the summer when he enrolls.

I can't imagine him decommitting from SC just to recommit without visiting ND and Bama. I also get the feeling that when he comes with his folks, ND will appeal to them. In interviews he has left the impression that he and his family are ND type people.

I might just be overly optimistic, but that is how I see it.

The Bama visit isn't set in stone. I just think after the USC and ND visits his mind will be made up.

If the Bama visit isn't set in stone, then neither is the ND one. I mean, they're both scheduled. There's no difference between the visits.

That is not accurate. The ND visit is set in stone, and he has stated several times the Bama one wasn't yet, but he is trying to set it up.

He is visiting ND on the 25th and Bama visit is scheduled for February 1st I believe. They're both scheduled.

Either way, recruiting is never set in stone until kids sign. For all we know he could end it after the USC visit. But I know I've seen he is set to visit bama.

I think he gives USC the respect of another shot but no matter the impression we get our visit... And I like our odds when we get em on campus.

But there is a difference between having a flight booked for an OV and determining if you're are going to book a flight. Big difference.

And you guys know of the flight plans? All I know is on pages 25 through 27 there's multiple sources saying ND on the 25, Bama after that.

From his most recent 24/7 interview (Wednesday):

"I'm going to visit USC on Jan. 18 and Notre Dame on Jan. 25. Going to Notre Dame on Jan. 25 works out better for me and my family. I'm trying to lock in my Alabama visit which could happen after the Notre Dame trip. Hopefully I can lock that in pretty soon."

Adam Gorney from Rivals has an update from yesterday, which states the same exact thing - set dates for USC and ND, and still trying to work out the Bama visit.

Lol, sorry. I do not have access so I just get the scraps.

No I know, but shouldn't that mean you should go by the words of the guys actually reading the articles rather than third and fourth hand info, instead of disputing it lol? Philley was right to begin with. Could have been left at that my man.

Either way, I think we all can agree we don't want that visit ever taking place. USC is still the main competition, but Bama visits scare me, especially for elite D-linemen.

I was thinking maybe if he is upset at U$C for the way Kiffin handled the EE thing, he might just be setting them up by saying he excited for his USC visit. Get their hopes up, then crush them by committing to ND.

But that's just my total nd homer view.
