I was an American Studies Major (though I had intended to be a Communication Arts major – but it was pulled as a degree track as I declared it) and I had a number of friends in General Studies. They are some of the brightest guys I met there. We shared the bond of often feeling that we were in over our heads and often banded together in informal study groups to get through.

I am in no way comparing ND's General Studies to those of Football Factories that compile a number of fluff courses to ensure that academically sub-par athletes can remain eligible.

Seriously that is it. Although almost everyone is now convinced that this is simply a plot to get concessions from ND and that Kelly has no intention of leaving.

Sherm I forgot there was some minor news:

It was tweeted that Diaco and Jack Swarbrick did have lunch together today near campus.

Not sure if was to give the defensive staff a raise because Kelly negiotating a raise for them.

or to talk about Diaco taking over if BK leaves.

or wait for it; they were just having lunch.

The "buzz" also is the a major Brian Kelly extension is coming.

Still want to know what Diaco had for lunch. If he ordered steak could chance one way or another he is getting a raise.

The lunch news was also interesting because it meant that Swarbrick was not concurrently negotiating. My guess is that Swarbrick was just letting BK's #2 where everything stood, which is a pretty good sign since it was in public.

We found out that the Brian Kelly linked to the Eagles was actually the one who received "sex bomb" status in the 60's for his manly, hairy chest that was proudly displayed on the hit TV show FLIPPER:

The biggest thing I think even more than standards is Kelly wants raises and multi year deals for his assistant coaches.
