@Jay_Hayes76 that's what ESPN is saying. I don't think they have all the details though.

Nobody wants to wait for someone with the university to respond to the report?

That's my list

Bolded would NEVER happen.

I have heard multiple interviews where BK says his philosophy is player development, and developing 18-22 year olds. Then again, he said NFL wasn't an option, and is now interviewing.

I trust the coaching staff in place and what they will say to EE's. Hell, some of them might have already known.

The guy ND should hire if Kelly leaves (his history says he does) is James Franklin. I know that's an unpopular name around here because he voted ND 4th but he is the man for the job.

He was getting a raise regardless. Now he is doing the only thing that could **** up our great recruiting class, 2 days before EE's report? Is he going to be out of the country until then? What the **** do the other coaches tell these 6 kids? Terrible, terrible integrity and class move by BK to those kids.

Right on Ironman8. Right on.

Is George O Leary still available??

Because the pickings will be ultra slim for another good coach wanting to come here for another ten or more years if BK leaves.

If he does, ND might want to renounce independence because they won't have another season like this for another twenty years if BK leaves.

So exactly what did Kelly do or say? All I see is scum media searching for a story that could have been started by lane Liffen for all we know. Chill...Kelly is going no where.

C'mon guys...I'm a newbie poster here. Let's please not forget that this information is from ESPiN, citing sources. This is something that would be completely typical for BSPN to put out, a couple days after the NCG to get page views and ND nation to turn against itself and their coach. Until there is an official announcement from the university I call BS...

We didn't have a meltdown all year because we won all our games, and now this forum is going to go ****ing ballistic. It's going to be hysterical.

Think all this Brian Kelly to the NFL news is timed perfectly... At it ends with a very big contract extension from ND.

No

This would take almost all of the positive momentum we've built up and crush it. Kelly, the best coach we've had in 20 years, would be gone. I have a hard time believing Diaco would stay unless offered the head coaching job. There would be decommitments, maybe transfers (although unlikely). This would be such a blow for the program.

Also, don't you guys think that the Eagles job is a lateral move at best? I don't see how one could move to a middling NFL team (although in a major market) from one of the top positions in all of football.

Shocking, really.

True. Chaos has rooted deeply and this thread will likely repeat the same points 1000 times until additional news breaks. Time for a kitty takeover.

Yes, I am overreacting but I don't care.

Lou had a ND clause in his contract with Minnesota that said he could interview with ND if he ever got Minnesota to a bowl game, and the AD knew about it.

I have serious doubts that kind of transparency is in the contract for BK. He just is diddling over the kids and the university, especially with this BS trip he planned right before EE happens, too.

Sheesh, Keep It Classy, BK....or not.

Punch to the gut.

I don't care if its for more money. Swarbrick already came out and said he's hooking BK up so why interview if you're not the slightest bit interested?

Because although the time is not right, now........... if you say no(to interviews) often enough, they stop asking. You go through the process, in case you want to make the jump in the future.

We've got EE's due in the next few days. We're recruiting the final pieces to a great class. Then this breaks.

There's nothing but damage being done.

Tony Alford and Bob Diaco would slay the nation if they were fully in charge.

Hearing no truth to the reports about the Bears and Brian Kelly. Not happening.

Maybe that's my silver lining. Still, seems serious about the Eagles.
