We maxed out our capabilities, fellas. No shame in that. We left everything on the field. We could have given up a lot of times this year and ended up playing some team like NIU in a BCS game. I will take a Natty beat down instead. At least we chased one.

Love where this team is heading. Does this hurt? For sure. Some of you guys need to suck it up and take it for what it is. We're a young team that got smacked around by a better team that was here a year ago.

Love this coaching staff and I expect us to be in position next year to compete for another BCS bowl.

Totally agree. If I read one more, "I'm embarrased" or "I'm ashamed" (looking at you Pat. Thanks for making me look like a dummy right after I say that you are holding it together) I am going to freek. I don't think one person that has said any of those comments thought we would even be playing in this game.

What are you ashamed of? Our undefeated regular season? Our star linebacker giving us every ounce of his soul? Our 98% graduation rate? What is it?

The only thing I am shamed of right now is the imbecile fans acting like this is the worst thing that ever happened to them. We are a focal point of college football right now. Five years ago... we won three games. Give me a break.

Go take a walk then my man and cool off, and same to anyone freaking out. Is this disappointing and even embarrassing? Yeah. But we were supposed to go 8-5, 9-4 and we 'would have been happy with that'.

We are extremely young for the most part and it showed when we played against a seasoned dynasty who just happen to clean up in recruiting every single year with the SEC advantage and honestly a elite coaching staff.

We arrived early, every one knows it, and unfortunately it showed on a national stage. We are bringing in a great recruiting class to add to a great young nucleus, and next year should be a lot of fun.

Wooly, that's fair, and I agree to an extent. I do feel strongly that we could have been better prepared (emotionally), and I hate the play calling in the first half, starting with the coin flip. I know, easy to second guess, but throwing at Bama's stud CB, not running the ball at all in the first XX plays, arghhhh... I do think our DBs finally got exposed, but take away all the missed tackles, stupid penalties, and add better play calling in the 1Q, and I think it's at least respectable. Not saying we win, but respectable.
