That's what I figured. I was just hoping you didn't think that.
My confidence is shattered again.
Here's why your confidence should be waning.
1. The Tide have NOT played a defense the caliber of Notre Dames.
2. This team is as well conditioned as any team in the country. Google Paul Longo.
3. It's been 25 years since the Irish have been here. They know what this means to the tradition and history of ND. They will not let an opportunity like this escape them.
4. They played a tougher schedule than Bama with several tight games and know how to win those.
5. Bama has been here recently. How hot are the embers burning? Not as hot as the Irish.
6. Saban is a great coach, but Kelly won't leave any stone unturned. I.E. he had the team hydrating two weeks ago to negate any possible affects of the heat and possible cramping.
7. Golson has matured mentally as the season went on and he comes up his biggest in the big games. I think this is the biggest game isn't it?
8. This team has the "IT" factor. Call it luck, spirit, team unity, mental toughness or whatever, but they have it.
9. Manto will be playing his final game in a Notre Dame uniform. (I think that says it all)
