Not buying it. Clearly misinformation from Nick "Goebbels" Saban intended to generate complacency in the Irish.

Word is that he actually does do a lot of jersey switching between the open media practices and closed practices in order to disguise who is doing what job.

I want the team to be fully focused from the time they start practicing.

I heard before last year's title game, it was very noticeable how focused and business-like the team was.

That is very paranoid, very cerebral but still paranoid.

Yep. I don't know if it's true or not. I guess it is an incredibly easy way to possibly gain the slightest of advantages. It is one of those "might as well" kind of things.

Good news for you guys:

Reports are that yesterday AL had a poor showing at practice. B. Jones called a players only meeting to address a "lack of focus."

Just goes to show you never know what kind of stupid stuff goes through the mind of an 18-22 year old.

As a 23-year old, I can confirm this.

Little known factoid: ND giving up TDs on only 24.4 percent of opponent red zone chances is the lowest in the FBS the past 8 years.

And to take it even further...

"The Irish allowed -5 total yards on 39 goal-to-go plays this season, the fewest yards and lowest average in the nation. Against the run, their opponents had -28 yards on 24 carries."

Our redzone and goaline D are among the best ever.

Or just do like Kiffin and switch DURING the game.....LOL

I just think Shembo has to shine. Alabama is going to pay a lot of attention to big Lou and Tuitt. He has to play like he did verus MSU. Just a random thought.

But this O-line they will be facing is the best ever!

He's one they're aren't talking about that I think will have a great game. Motta is the other.

It'll be interesting to see

A.) If Our boys can stop their running game inside the 20 like they have with everyone else leading up to this game.
B.) If our DBs can handle the deep shots off Play Action that will certainly be thrown at them in the second half after two plus Q's of smash mouth, in fact wouldn't suprise me to see Bama go there on one of the very first plays also.. then settle back

But Motta can't get sucked up by the play action. Bama lives on those 1 or 2 big completions downfield when teams safeties start cheating up.

Exactly. Our safeties staying at home is going to be cruicial.

Ryan Anderson and dillon lee were sent home today by Saban for violating curfew. They were not huge factors on the team, but this is evidence of the lack of focus I was talking about earlier.

Didn't you say Ryan Anderson is Jones' backup? That could be a problem but probably not too much. Got a lot of respect for Barrett!

I honestly think A&M's O-line is better than Bama's. Manziel could take a nap back there.

Completely agree about the importance of Bama's play action game. This aspect, coupled with Bama's screen game, are two big keys I'll be looking at when they have the ball.

Love me some up tempo offense, they already lose depth at LB.

I hope that we can see Kelly's full offense sometime soon. We'd be unstoppable.
