hmm with the number crunch this is shocking to me...but im sure the coaches have a lil bit better idea of #'s than i do...

Well, that "Denbrock's recruiting me hard" remark was based on a couple visits during the contact period before the staff could have been as sure of Folston's interest as they are now. I'm curious whether LaRue will still visit if Folston commits at the UA game like we expect him to. I really, really like LaRue, but I just don't see how we can fit him in unless we miss on some of the guys we think we are getting.

not sure that numbers is the issue here...hopefully we can get him qualified at least to get him into the conversation.

Agree Emcee, just don't see how he fits in if we get Folston, AQM, and Redfield. If we miss on one of them then it opens things up. But even if we miss on one of them I think Hollins is first in line to get a spot. And Vanderdoes would be a take no matter what.

Lol I thought the same thing. If you are worried that SC doesn't have room for you so you go visit TAMU ... you are jumping out of the frying pan into the fire.

No, seriously, he explained that the coach who gave him his first offer, who was at Boise State at the time, is now at TAMU, and they've grown close throughout the process, so he wants to give them a visit. Not sure if it's basically just an honorary visit or if there is actually realistic interest on both sides.

If you're a USC fan then then this would be good news for you.

Says there is no concern with his comittment to USC. He said USC is very comnitted to him too. Denbrock visited him twice and will visit Notre Dame just to make sure he made the right choice.

Meh.

It's the same update I summarized above at post 183. I slightly disagree with arrowryan's take on it ... I thought he was saying that he wants to go to USC but he isn't totally sure they are as committed to him as he is to them.

Even USC mods don't think he'll end up with them. Like I've said for over 4 months, LaRue isn't even sure how much USC wants him.

IMHO, if USC ends up with him, it's cause they struck out elsewhere. They're still recruiting plenty of players, even though they've been essentially full (even one over for quite awhile!) for months. They're looking to upgrade in some spots...

wow. Big news, considering that the schools he is in closest contact with, ND and TAMU, don't seem to have room for him. With Folston in the fold, I don't see how we could take him.

Curious how this will play out. A player of his caliber must have other options I don't know about.

He wasn't going to USC he should have done this weeks maybe even months ago. Now other teams will contact him.

I doubt we have room, but every USC decommit has to push Redfield/Eddie Vanderdoes away from USC.

I don't think he comes. Major strides need to be made in the classroom I think he ends up Washington State.

Why? Maybe he wanted to secure a spot since USC has limited spots while still keeping his options going. Or are you an insider?

We'd have to miss on quite a few prospects that I don't think we will in order for this kid to get a spot.

I like the Washington state call with Leach trying to get that offense going it'd probably be a good fit.

Why are you going after him? It's not like he doesn't know what he was talking about. LaRue wasn't going to USC and 99% of there mods and fans knew this.

Not an insider but both USC and he have known he wasn't going to be in the class for awhile. Like GB said he has some classroom issues. He didnt even have his official to USC scheduled which should tell you everything you need to know.
