It wasn't Weis. It's an older booster, mid 60's maybe. There was a spot on him and the football a while back, maybe on UND. Don't know why he would be secretive about it now?

It was a fan, no relation to Kelly and it wasn't Weis. I have heard the story before. I can't remember who it is exactly. I think he lives in the South Bend Area. I do know the dude was 65 at the time of Kellys hiring. Told Kelly he didn't have much time to get the football back. He was saying that in good humor.

Yes, the owner said he could "borrow" the ball for a while. Been with him since he started. Says he needs another signature on it. They aired the piece about it on a college game day earlier in the season.

Watch the show last night. I like it it. I do think that doing this show though in a way adds more pressure to Kelly. I didn't like Lou pointing out how things change after you win a championship. Call be a grouch but I don't think those kinds of things should be talked about until after you actually win the championship.

Yeah they also had a full feature on 247 about the same thing. Kind of rubbed me the wrong way, too. I love Lou, but the only reason I can think of for why he'd be so desperate to get this angle out there right now is to say "look at me! Remember me! I won before!!"
