Dude, I don't know how else to say this, but you're dead wrong here. How do you think these guys get a lot of their info??? Parents, high school coaches, other family members, and yes, members of the current staff (EDIT: read your post wrong - not during a visit, but in general these recruitniks do know the coaches and get intel from them). Hell, I talked to a reporter of one of the recruiting services and he told me as much.

The reporters are also finding things out by communicating with parents of other commits. Parents see how the recruits are acting and what they're saying, and they'll shoot a text to the reporters whom they've grown kinda close with throughout the recruiting process. Happens all the time, at every school.

Yeah I used to follow Tyler James, he's a younger reporter and specializes in retweeting info from the guys in the "know". I unfollowed him months ago. It's pointless.

Multitude of ways if you know the right people and respect ND's wishes at the sametime. Kinda like Byrne, everyone knew he committed earlier in the week, but out of respect for him/his family/ND/etc...everyone waits to report it till they get the go ahead from either the player or ND. I mean all the premium sites didnt just put together detailed stories in the 3mins after he announced it today.
