Saw it too. I was impressed. Too bad they didn't get more time . . .

Actuallay, there is something good, everybody that doesn't vote Manti 1 seems to vote him two. So if you have two qb's that garner 40% of the first place votes each, and Manti gets the rest, as well as most of the second place votes, he gets it!

Second, Mike Valenti voted Manti second! Never thought that would happen! Those guys vote their heart (somewhat, or as they know it to be) that is good too!

Unless you're the troll from the USC Rivals site.

I like the way you think. HeIsManti.

For a second I read that as Mike Valenti has a Heisman vote... But once my brain cells regenerated I realized what Boggs meant

Guys, actually read the table above. Add 3 for each number one vote; two for each number 2; and one for each number three vote. And tell me how it looks.

Please note that Mike Valenti is quoted as what is stated in that vote total. My point is that I thought he would not vote for Manti at all, from earlier quotes.

Here is the model: 100 votes; 600 points.

a) 40 first place (120) 40 third (40) 20 second (40) = 200

b) 20 first place (60) 80 second place (160) 20 third place (20) 320. Less first place but wins. (My analogy for Manti)

c) this model leaves 200 points out there to be split between others or go to a third candidate.

Actual Votes 2012 - Stiff Arm Trophy

Still early but latest update looking like Manziel will win by a lot. Only saving grace may be that the older guys may not disclose this early.

Also, **** that USC rivals reporter for leaving Manti out of the top 3

Here is the projection Stiff Arm Trophy: Who is the most outstanding college football player in America?

It's an offensive award. It's being made clear. So much is wrong with the process and its been dissected over and over. Ticks me off. Manziel's numbers aren't that impressive when you dig into them. Ugh.

Just want Te'o to win some of the major D awards.

As far as I'm concerned, a nomination for a defensive player is about the highest honor one can achieve in Heisman voting.

As much as we all want to see Manti win it, it is a long shot. Too many voters, gooing over Johnny F-ing Football. Yes, he's good but what kind of teams has played against, even in the SEC.

Maybe this will keep Manti motivated to kick some *** in the title game. 2 Picks and a TD to finish his #HeIsManti career. I'll take a National Championship over the Heisman Trophy anyday just like Manti said himself.

"Win a national title at Notre Dame and you become a legend."

Chris Mad Dog Russo voted for Manti. If you're not sure who he is, IMO he is the best radio talent out there.

I'd love to see Manti win the Heisman, but it's pretty much an offense-only award. I want to see Manti pick up some serious defense hardware and then cap his college football career 13-0 with a National Championship ring.

I grew up in NY listening to him every single day and I can, with confidence, tell you he doesn't know anything about sports.

This table is who disclosed publiclly . . . not like it was under oath or anything. I mean, nobody has ever lied . . .

Remember there are 870 voters. These are the most insignificant of the lot. The old guard will not disclose their vote.

I would love to see a spray chart of where these voters are located and what league most cover {cough SEC cough}

Also, Mariotti is a hack, I have to change the channel whenever he is on Around the Horn.

How the hell did Manti only make it on 26 of 47 ballots??? 45% of people don't even have him in their top 3? What a crock!!!

If you just gave him 2nd place votes on those ballots he'd be VERY close to Johnny Fudgedstats. I thought Manti would have a good shot as long as he got 1/3 of the first place votes and Klein tanked against Texas... Klein didn't tank, and therefor I thought he'd lose because Klein would steal too many 2nd place votes from him... instead, Manti never had a chance because (apparently) there are a large portion of people who simply don't want him anywhere near NYC.

Wait what? Is this a serious statement.

There is a reason WFAN gave him the boot and gave Mike Franciesa huge money.

I'm still inshock about this statement.

Ya seriously. The only thing he knows about is Tennis.

If you look at the long list of people with votes you start to shake your head. Many folks on this board have a more qualified opinion than half those actually voting.

Dude Mariotti hasn't been on ATH in like 5 yearsss.

Im not sure he even works as a writer anymore. Had some type of domestic violence issue. Sure someone on this board knows the story.

you're assuming taht if they vote either QB 1st, they are most likely to vote the other QB 3rd. Seems like anyone that votes Klein first would be very likely to put Johnny F 2nd. Plus it doesn't look like Klien is getting too many 1st place votes anyway

He had several issues with domestic violence. He is a first class nut job. He has disappeared as far as I can tell.
