I am scared to death the Chiefs are gonna get the first pick and take Barkley. I would much rather have Manti, and take a QB like Wilson or Thomas in the second round....I just don't know if you can take a LB 1st. Maybe trade down a couple.

I would love to see Te'o (Urlacher's replacement) and/or Eifert slide down to the Bears but I can picture Te'o in Baltimore and Eifert in Tampa or St. Louis. Also, the Bears may need OL help more desperately than any other position. But there's always a chance that Cave would be available in the 3rd or 4th round which would make Te'o or Eifert a perfect fit if they were to fall. I wouldn't rule out Minnesota (ND's pro-team) as a possible landing spot if they were available.

Of those teams I could really only see the Rams taking him(although Browns wouldn't be crazy). All the others have more drastic needs. Of teams just outside the bottom 5 the Jets, Bills, Cardinals, and Titans could use an inside linebacker. Although its not crazy to think someone will draft him and move him or their current inside linebacker inside. If I had to guess right now I would say Bills.
The Bills are looking at QB. That's their biggest need by far. I'd place OL and WR as their next biggest needs

True, but I think 3 QBs could be gone by the time they draft and they can't stop the run.
CJ would be a lot better with a QB but they are not necessarily looking at Barkley. Several scouts question is arm strength and with the recent success of former USC QB's (Sanchez and Leinart), he is potentially getting labeled as a great college QB. There's talk of Geno or Jarvis potentially going 1st.
true but the NFL is all about offense and you can't score if your QB can't throw or your RB's can't run. And Mario Williams will be healthy next year.

I am a skins fan but that would be pretty sweet since i know he won't end up in DC. Another place i would like to see him go is Baltimore. He could fill the shoes of one Ray Lewis.
I pray that he doesn't go to GB, SF or Dallas. However, if he slid to the Bears, he'll be a Chicago Bear. I could see him as an understudy to Urlacher or playing outside until Urlacher retires.

I've cut off the colts and I am currently a Broncos fan (Peyton Manning). If Manti gets drafted by the Vikings I foresee I will become a complete Minnesota Fighting Irish fan.

When you think about where we were as a program when Clausen came in and where he failed to take us. It is amazing that is was a MLB from Hawaii that turned the tide for our Irish.
This is not meant to be an attack on Clausen more just thinking to myself of all the singular players that I thought could take the torch and change this for ND and it wasn't him. It was Manti!

Huh? Please, It's not Clausen's fault the defense couldn't have stopped a peewee team. That Jr year Clausen put together was phenominal.

Perhaps not, but also don't underestimate the impact of his leadership and how he has influenced teammates to commit 100% to a common cause. He is a servant leader in every sense of the term, and that approach by someone of Manti's credibility on the field, IMO, has rubbed off significantly on his "brothers" and we've seen the results every Saturday this fall. The best players make their teammates better than they otherwise would have been, individually and collectively. I believe Manti has done just that.

Maybe a better way to put it is, we needed a culture change in the locker room from 80+ players. And yes I do believe sometimes it starts with one person and spreads throughout the team. Then it becomes commonplace again. The old timers (no offense) thats what they say we lost and Manti brought it back. Clausen was incredibly skilled but I think most would agree that what Manti has brought to the table is much more significant than skill.
Keep in mind guys I love Clausen and still root for him today. I am simply stating that I think Manti has been bigger than football to this program unlike anybody else. I used Clausen's name because when he came I thought it was going to be him.
