Clowns scare the living sh!t out of me. Mimes too-- I came this close to taking a mime out in Vegas one time. Sumbitch was freaking me out.

You know what movie freaked me out? "It"...f'ing clowns man, f'ing clowns

Gotta agree. While the book may be better than the movie, I saw the movie for the first time just a few weeks ago on Youtube. Doesn't help that it was late and storming. Corny as it was, there are still some freaky parts in that movie. Tim Curry is excellent, I don't know if anyone else could have played that part better.

I had nightmares, and still do, about "Night of the Living Dead." I saw the old black and white version when I was 8 or 9 and it stuck with me. I didn't like zombies then though, Thriller scared me too. Maybe the fear came first from Night of the Living Dead, I dunno. It's a great early horror film.

Evil Dead is a cult classic and made me a Bruce Campbell fan.

I remember reading It when I was a kid. It took me something like 6 months. One, because it's like 1000 pages long. Two, because it scared the crap out of me and I would just read it during the day, preferably surrounded by friends and family.

I don't know if it's the "scariest" but The Shining is awesome beyond belief. So is Silence of the Lambs. Those are just great films that are scary to a degree. Add Manhunter by Michael Mann to that list. Not really a "horror" movie, but great movie about a guy killing people. As for scary, yeah Candyman freaked my stuff out. Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer is a scary movie. The original Halloween is also really scary and the original Omen, IMHO.

Love horror movies. "House of 1000 corpses" is a good one.

"Lost boys" scared the crap outta me when I was young. Still the best vampire movie ever made.

I love them all. Been watching AMC for 30 straight days

And did you guys know that the mask used in Halloween, is actually William Shatners face???

They had to grab a cheap mask and Shatners Star Trek mast was the cheapest and they just spray painted it white.

Little useless triva for ya.

I prefer scary movies versus gore-fests.

A bit of gore is OK to get the point acros, but the Hostels, the Saws are more torture and gore tand gross out than scary.

More of the suspense and the surprise gets me. Exorcist, the Omen, Hellraiser...Arachnaphobia, Kingdom of the Spiders, and those kind freak me out too but because then they start to make you itch

There is a horror movie called "Kingdom of the Spiders"??

Christ. I will never watch.

(it's a known fact that IrishPat is deathly afraid of those 8-legged baby killers)

All the Halloween movies are pretty awesome, Micheal Meyers is one creepy dude. The movies scared the crap out of me when I was younger, but not so much anymore.
