F'in awesome first two shows of the season. Carl and Lori are getting on my nerves though.

Carl is getting better but hes 12, all 12 year olds are annoying. The women are very bad on this show. All of them are horrible characters. The lone exception IMO is Maggies but I might have blinders on due to her being hot. I really hope Michonne changes that.

Zombies, werewolves, vampires, unicorns....all bullshit. Don't get how you guys could be entertained by make believe. What are we? Twelve?

So I assume you hate Star Wars, Batman, Lord of the Rings, Back to the Future, you know, all that make believe crap.

I agree. I also find it weird when adults read comic books (or graphic novels or whatever you want to call them). But I guess to each his own.

This show is different. It's not really a "zombie" show. I mean, sure, there are zombies in it and the entire premise of the show is based on a world with zombies running rampant, but it's more of a post-apocalyptic show. I'd be willing to bet even Hobbes and Locke would enjoy the "man in a state of nature" idea behind the show. It's about self-preservation and group survival. The characters in the show are tasked, on a daily basis, of how to achieve this. And just like anything else in "real" life, sometimes they make good decisions...but sometimes they are bad. The difference for them, as opposed to us in the real world, is that a bad decision or choice may not just lead to a characters own demise, but his group's, and in turn, human civilization's demise. This is where the thrill of the show comes from...and the uncertainty of what else is out there-- because sometimes, the "bad guys" (the zombies) aren't necessarily even the worst evil lurking out there.

Lost? Game of Thrones? Hell, even Indiana Jones had a bunch of make believe stuff. How about nearly any video game ever?

I think Lori is by far the best looking. Maybe that's part of the reason I'm not as fed up with her as others on here are- haha!

Rhode Irish won't even eat Count Chocula or Frakenberry's because he thinks they're not "real" cereals. What's this world coming to?

I feel like banging his best friend has a lot to do with it too

Yeah, I'm sure it does. But didn't Rick tell Lori, in an episode last season, that he knew that they were banging right after he found them? It didn't seem to bother him then. Of course, it's not like a betrayal like that would just go away though.

Rhode Irish came over and asked if I had any cereal. I showed him a box of Trix and he slapped the box out my hand and said "Trix are for kids bitch!!!!"

Lots of folks enjoy being taken to a world that is unlike this one. For some of us, fantasy worlds just provide a respite from the "real world", a world that can often be overwhelming.

My daughter would tell you not a darn thing.

Awkward.

Finally got caught up with the last two episodes. Interested in seeing if the two surviving prisoners end up joining the group. I don't understand why Rick and everyone else are so opposed to adding people to their party.

To be fair this was a group of 5 prisoners. I don't think I'd be letting them join my group either. Well not without a background check, and since there are no computers, they would be **** SOL.

More mouths to feed and they've become comfortable with each other would be my guess.

^^Yes. And also group dynamic. They have been together a long time and probably know each other's habits and personalities. A tight knit group is not usually welcoming to outsiders. I don't even know if the two guys the let live will be helpful. Rick should have clipped all of them just to be safe. I think the surviving prisoners will backfire on them sometime down the road.

So due to other commitments on Sunday, I wasn't able to watch the most recent episode until last night. Finally got to meet the Governor. I like the character so far. Very creepy air about him. Michonne is bad *** even without saying a word. Curious to see where Andrea decides to end up. Merl wasn't as sinister yet as I hoped he would be on his return.

Yep. I'm excited to see where this goes. Dude has real psychopath material in him.

I gotta admit, I don't usually like 2 diverging storylines, but these have a lot of potential. Dorial Green-Beckham-like potential.

I think Andrea's into the Gov. That might happen.

I just got caught up on this thread, and like some of y'all, I don't really like how the just disregarded the last 8 months in the show. They haven't really even talked about it. Maybe there will be flashbacks in the future to take care of it, but I'd just like to know. I mean, Michonne doesn't seem the type to take on friends...

On a side note, this show makes me more happy to be a bow hunter. I'll be sitting pretty with my bows and arrows when the zombies come haha.

And oh yeah, Maggie's hot.

Lori looks so nasty. After months of no shaving and probably showering, I don't blame Rick for not even wanting to touch her with a 10 ft pole. What a skeezer she is.

Good thing she's already preggers with Shane's baby.

Otherwise she may have given birth to a baby convict or governor.

The Governor storyline already has me hooked. I like that the show started to build up Rick's character for his potential showdown with the Governor. It's going to be interesting to see if the producers of this show can handle all that is going to be on their plate - can they handle two separate storylines into they interweave? Lost did this perfectly. As we saw last year down on Hershel's farm, the producers and showrunners can get bogged down sometimes on WD. Although I will say that this season has been close to the first season in terms of excitement and interest.

5 million vbucks says she ends doing the horizontal mambo with The Governor.

Yes. Yes they will. An if anyone thinks to the contrary, I'll get in on that action.

I also think Lori's head ends up amongst the Governors collection. That's just blindly speculating though.
