I try to avoid being superstitious, but I just caught myself wondering how much I bet on last weeks game, so I could bet the same amount this week. I know I'll wear the same ND cap that I've wore for every other game. Hmmmm what did I eat last Saturday? What did I drink? Damn stupid superstition!

Anyone else?

I have worn "the shirt" under my Cierre Wood (Miami game) jersey every game this year.

This one wasn't intentional at first but after we beat MSU I realized my toe nails needed a cutting but thought to myself I can wait to the bye week, don't want to jinx it.

Your (FIXED!, come home Dshans!) superstitions have nothing to do with the team's success. :) Sorry folks. They don't.

Having said that, I stopped wearing any of my jerseys and just wear my old *** beat up and sweat stained green ND baseball cap during games (and during most of the rest of my non working hours in life). Unless I'm going with the lady...then I wear a nice clean navy blue one. I've been wearing ND hoodies during games thanks to the cold weather moving in.

First, your not you're.

Second, I cut my toenails two weeks ago.

I gave them all up. Saw us win sober and lose sober so now I'm like screw it and drink a few beers during every game. I used to have to shave before every gig when I played in bands though.

OOPS!
I'll fix that, I'm usually like Dshans when it comes to your and you're!

Glad you cut those toenails! When mine start snagging my socks it really gets annoying.

I want to hear some crazy superstition stories.

Now pre gig rituals...I have those! That's for another discussion.

I went to the last three games and wore the same jersey to all three. Unfortunately, I won't be going to the game this weekend

Awww man I'm laughing so hard right now. Believe it or not facial hair used to be a big no no when playing in a punk rock or rock n roll band.

My old superstitions of wearing specific clothing and what not have transformed into game by game superstitions. Now I find myself not moving from my seat unless I'm going to grab a beer or use the pisser. And when I do get up I come back and make sure I'm in the exact same spot and positioned the exact same way.

i watched the first 4 games on tv in the States and then moved back to Ireland during the bye week, i didnt get to see Miami game at all because i was at a wedding and ND went out and stomped on the Canes, this team dosen't need luck or superstition, its really that good!

I make my wife wear my ND fleece because she wore it against Mich State last year. She has not worn it a few times since that game. All of them I had duty, and ND lost. So she puts it on 30 minutes before kickoff now!!

I'm trying to be modest and not brag on the Irish too much. It's tough, though. You don't know how bad I just want to go up to the Irish haters and yell "YEAH, UNDEFEATED AND TOP 10 RANKED! WHO'S IRRELEVANT NOW?!" But I just keep it quiet and civil.

I've worn the same green pants every Friday before a game. Keeping it going! (They might smell a little tho, who cares?!)

Wear my same ND hat every Friday before the game and on game day and the same ND football cutoff under my jersey every Saturday.

My sophomore year in college I started drinking nothing but Franzia (it is all I had on hand) during games and we beat Michigan pretty bad. The few times I have tried to move away from it (games 1-2 last year + USC) have been telling reminders of why I shouldn't. I even snuck some into Soldier last week to make sure I kept it up. Granted there were plenty of brutal losses when I did it so I guess it has just become more of a fun tradition to get hammered in a ridiculous way during the games but Franzia Football is something I only do for ND.

Since I'm a Texas fan as well I decided tomorrow I will be doing Franzia Football out of a boot shaped glass to acknowledge the Red River Rivalry so hopefully that doesn't jynx us.

I change up the layers underneath, but I always wear the current year's Shirt over everything else. Oh and I'm super paranoid that my boxers on saturdays contain only Notre Dame colors, and never contain the color of that weeks opposing team. In fact, I'm always extremely careful to never have any article of clothing on that could be remotely construed as having anything to do with the other team.

Same here. When people bring up the Irish (they all know I'm a huge fan), I just say "yah they look pretty-good, but I don't know yet". It's getting harder and harder to not say "this team f*%#$@* rocks!".

I used to play our opponent on the NCAA football game every Friday night, but I didn't even buy the game this year...so I'm going to continue not to play. I played it before every game, every year since '98...until this year.

Other than that, the wife is not allowed to leave the kitchen during the game after a Michigan fiasco that will remain nameless.

I always wear my #10 Quinn jersey...and for some reason I always shave on Saturday morning.(It's a weird superstition I created back in college, but during this time of year I only shave on Saturdays. lol)
I also always do this weird white-guy Irish jig. Just popped in my head as a good idea for every TD.

Me too,

I live in SEC turf, and even some of the Georgia and Gator fans down here have mentioned how well ND is doing.

I usually just laugh and play it off
