I would agree if it were just this weekend; the rumor that he may take an official to UF in December is different though, imo. That's what makes me think he may not be as solid as I thought.

Like Wooly said, for once, who cares? One - we've known about the visit, and two - it's completely out of our control. If Alex, who has proclaimed time and time again the honor it will be to follow Manti, wants to flip to UF, so be it.

It sucks losing a major prospect, it really does, but our program is in such a strong place right now recruiting wise that I really think we'd be fine.

Not to mention, all that being said, I really don't think he flips. He's going for his parents and because he's close with the UF coaches and probably wants to be nice. He'll come back, go to the BYU game, and get all his EE stuff sorted out that morning. In the end, I think he stays Irish.

If I was a senior in high school and I was live at this game I would commit to the Gators ASAP. The atmosphere looks out of control there today.

Was thinking the same thing. Need to get him to South Bend for his official because he may end this weekend on a Gator high.

glad neither of you are committed to nd

I expected atmosphere to be crazy, two highly ranked teams in a conference battle.

I just hope Alex can remove himself from the instant emotions.

Well, if Alex was wavering, we should know soon.

I'm with you, but coming from someone who's been on this planet for over 40 years it's hard from me to imagine making a life altering decision on one event, like a football game.

Ahhh, but being on earth for over 40 years, you are no longer a 17-18 year old who just saw a massive win at your father's alma mater and your #2 choice.

And it's not the first time he's been there, surrounded by UF commits, etc. We've been down this road before.

My point is it's his first time being there for such a massive win and crazy atmosphere. I think we know where he is going for good in the next 2 weeks.

But hasn't he also scheduled an official to go there again later in the season?

If he took this visit alone I would be a lot more worried. I think he's with his parents not a lot of one on one times. You guys need to remember his dad is a big time ND supporter even though he is a Gator. I am still worried but I don't expect a recommitment.

I don't think we know for sure bro until he signs on the dotted line, to whatever school that may be...

I don't think so. He is an EE, so he is going to need time to set that up with w/e school he chooses. I think he is ours if he goes to the BYU game.

I knew he wasn't solid. Has been flirting with Florida way to much.

It's cool though. We will see what happens with him and the rest of the class.

Well if he does flip, I hope he regrets what he said about being committed to Notre Dame. Don't say it if you don't mean it.
