career high 187 yards and two td's on saturday against a very good non league opponent.

team is undefeated and ranked #2 in the state in AA (out of A, AA, AAA, and AAAA)

Trying to sway a kid from taking a visit just doesn't sound like this staff's MO. AA has been to Gainesville plenty of times before, so I can't imagine he needs another visit there in order to de-commit from ND.

If the kid is going to decommit, I would rather he take the FL visit and do it right away. That way the ND coaches, with limited spots left but quite a few remaining targets, can focus on other positions of need. Take that visit and really determine where you want to be for the next four years. It would hurt a little if it happened on Nov. 1, but even more if it happened on NSD.

Very good point.

And the speculation begins. I'm personally not worried, it's a big game and his dad is an alum. I would wanna go with my dad too. Is it an official or unofficial visit?

Not worried about it. Parents homecoming and why wouldn't you want to go to Florida LSU game. Maybe I should have kept this quiet but I really am not worried about it.

Personally, not that concerned. If we didn't hear anything until he was on campus different story but have heard for a while now he was going to go again, has been there before and after his commitment to ND.

Lol if you didn't say something first someone was going to create mass chaos with a post like "OMG Alex is going to Florida this weekend! what do we do?!?!" I think you delivered a fairly calm message. And agreed not worried about it.

Alex has been to Florida a ton. He's been to ND twice and has been full ND. He talks with Florida coaches because he is close with them. This trip I doubt would change his mind or anything. It's not like he isn't going to see anything he hasn't seen before. I am still waiting for ND mods to confirm this. The Florida mod is kind of a dope.

Obviously anything can happen it's recruiting but let's keep in mind he's planning on being on campus in a few months as an EE.

Philly, to your point and maybe alligator will chime in on this. I think Florida has a good shot at the upset. If they can score 23+ that could be enough

definitely, Even though LSU is favored by two points, I would be surprised if Florida doesnt come out with a win...

I don't see LSU blowing us out. This game is going to come down to who can run the ball the best. Florida will finally see where it stacks up vs the elite on the line of scrimmage.

On the Anzalone situation anytime he gets on campus it is a big deal going forward. Like GB said Alex has been to Florida a few times the problem was he would go when most of our class was not on campus. The first time he met a good chunk of Florida's class was at the opening by then he had already committed to making an announcement. 75 percent of Florida's commits will be at the game so if Alex is there he will get a lot of "bonding time" which he also got at FNL. Most people who get paid to follow recruiting think there is a very good shot he flips. Both fan bases agree he should go to ND and be the Manti Te'o

Sadly, I think UF will lose a close one where there will be an argument that LB play was poor. They will pull the "you could have been the difference" card.

We keep winning, this isn't a problem.

Lots of Florida people are saying he could flip. Actions are louder than words. I think BK was pissed about FNL idk how he is he goin to feel about this one. There are legs to this story.

I hope he doesn't. As much as he twitted about ND and the honr to wear number 5. it would make him look bad IMO.

Doesn't matter if the trip has been planned for weeks, there is nothing good about this situation.

Certainly wouldn't be shocked if he flipped, but could see it going either way. The thing to me is that this is something that everyone knew was coming for months, so I don't think this is anything to get worked up over. The class would be better with him, but that is recruiting.

If he wants to go to UF he should visit and commit to them this weekend. He should not drag this into January like a Darby or Greenberry did. ND can find another player that is just as good or even better. If he stays committed great, if he doesn't no big deal.

The thing is if he does decommitt it is a big deal. Your right losing top 50 player at a position we don't recruit that well up until this year. Anzalone ability to play in space but also stray out the run isn't something we can find easily.

He is definitely a good player and would be a great fit for ND. I'm just not getting that worked up about it because the rumors about him and UF have been out there for a while. This staff has the ability to find players and get them ready to play. Randolph was important because even if Anzlone decides to go to UF we still have good LB talent and depth in this class. If ND gets to a BCS game I'll be even less concerned because new names will probably become interested in ND.

It almost feels like he is trying to find a good enough excuse to not attend Florida. I understand he has been to Fla a bunch of times which is why I don't like him going again. Why keep going? Because you're still interested. Maybe he's different then others and just wants to go to the game because his parents asked him to. He is close to leaving the nest so maybe getting in quality time at Pops alma mater is what they want.

Definitely interesting and has that here we go again feel. This time, I pray for it in NDs favor.
