He is taking an official to us, right? When?
Yesterday's quotes certainly don't sound like he's wavering.

He is visiting for BYU game and will most likely will be back for the banquet as well. All is calm on the western front.

Btw, what Allgator said is right. Their fans really don't seem to want him. Anytime the 247 writer mentions Anzalone as a potential visitor and one to keep an eye on they don't even talk about it and are much more interested in filling out their class with other players.

Their loss, not ours... Anzalone is a consensus top 100 player and even top 50 player according to some.

There is just nothing to get excited about from his defensive film. He should be ripping kids heads off and you do not see that. I do however like what I see offensively. As someone who believes Alex still might flip I would love to see him do something special on D.

Not sure how you can't like his defensive film. His pursuit angles are great, and his play recognition is very good as well. When he is asked to contain along the outside, he does very well at pushing the play inside. He is obviously one of the more athletically gifted players on the field.

Seems like a great prospect to me.

You don't have to rip kids' heads off to be a good defensive prospect....I'll take a kid who will break down and contain the ballholder and get the tackle then someone looking to drive their helmet through the guys sternum and whiff.

A) I am not sure Alex plays against the best talent. I have noticed that sometimes you don't see the colisions or the heart unless the prospect, good talent, is playing against equivalent talent.

B) You sound just like the Buckeyes do about Jaylon Smith, even while they thought they had Mitchell.

I want LB's that play violently and intimidate the offense.

Like LB's that intimidate offenses by gouging their eyes out?

Seriously though, almost every top program offered this kid and you can go without him because he's not ripping kid's heads off. I understand where you're coming from but if toughness or aggression was a glaring problem the top 40 teams in the country wouldn't have offered.

These posts are starting to get a little annoying. I don't mind banter and all that good stuff and I know GB vouches for you dude but don't you have a Gator site to post on? I'm not even saying I disagree with everything you say either AllGATOR, I'm just saying it seems like you just come on here sometimes to stir the pot. Anyways good win against A&M. Florida fought hard and finished.

When Jaylon Smith committed to the Irish, OSU fans, who thought that he would follow his big brother there, were dissappointed. They did the "we didn't want him anyway" thing. Many said they wanted this other linebacker who did well on the testing at the beginning of the Opening. That linebacker didn't end up going to OSU either.

From seeing the Gators against the Falcons, I was not overly impressed by the Gator linebacking corps. They didn't look very dominant to me considering the Falcons have been a just above midlin' MAC team.

Yes Brandon Spikes was amazing would love another player just like him. The Florida coaching staff loves Alex that's why they continue to recruit him. I am just one guy with an opinion.

I have been saying for a long time do not want Alex unless he is going to be an H back (love his potential there) . This was before his commitment to ND.

You are correct they did not look dominate.

Just curious. Why don't you like Alex's potential at linebacker?

AA and Teo built up a relationship. I am sure he heard what has happened. To further what I am saying, AA wants to wear #5 at ND because of Manti.

I take back my statement. For one because it was rude. But I think he's just excited to be here. My apologies for being a dck

I didnt think it was rude, just ur opinion on whether or not it applied to Manti.

I think it is for Manti and I agree, it is a very classy move on his part... This eases my mind on Anzalone quite a bit to be honest.

It is not that I dont like his potential at LB its that I dont want him on the Gator's if he is going to play LB. The Gators already have 3LB commits this year. There are other players I like better to finish out the class.

After playing Alabama and LSU the last few years you realize LB's being in the right place just isnt enough in the SEC. Lb's need to be very physical in the league and if I dont see it in high school film I dont expect them to show it in college.

Alex has the physical tools to be a productive LB just don't see the mentality I want on film.
People love talking about stars but I like to look at the limited film we as fans get to see. Last year Florida signed Antonio Morrison out of Chicago. When I saw his film I was sold. . Because of an injury he will start against TN on Saturday.

This is the kind of film I want to see from an out of state kid at LB

Alex is a nice pick up for ND. The Gator coaches like Alex a lot and they know more than I. One thing I do believe in is the Gators staff ability to evaluate talent. ND fans should be happy Alex is a commit Gator fans just have a different opinion on him.

AA seems like a classic western PA LB in the mold of:

Paul Posluszny
Dan Connor
Sean Lee

These guys were not huge hitters, you don't need to be to succed, they are technically sound players who tackle well, cover a lot of ground and can breakdown the play very quick and get to the right spot. I think this is what AA will be.

The fact he doesn't seek and destroy is ok with me, it means he is more disciplined and plays within the framework of the D.
