Holy Crap the 2013 Class Looks Good!

I've been admittedly busy during the summer and haven't been following my Irish as close as I normally do. With my kids in every summer activity humanly possible, I just haven't been here as much this year.

I jumped on IE today and was really surprised by the 2013 commitments so far. It has quality and quantity. The quality has been there in recent classes, but the quantity has been lacking due to some last minute decisions. And the recent defection of some really talented players.

It's good to see the Irish in such good early recruiting shape. Now all they have to do is have a respectable season on the field against a really tough schedule to bring these guys to South Bend. Looking forward to this season Go Irish!

Yeah the class looks very sharp, and a good number of the GREAT players we have verbals from sound like they will stay committed even if, we don't have a 9 win season (As I'm predicting). Especially the o-line recruits, they seem very commited, as well as my Boy Jaylon, guys gonna be a monster out there wearing #5 to rep Teo! Keep the RKG's comin coaches!

OL and LB.... just sick. I think by end of year some of the other 3 star guys get a big bump. I think Robinson will end up consensus 4 star now that all the eyes are on him. Not crowning the class yet, but a lot of potential. We need to improve on CB, DL, and RB IMO.

Keelio, I think Anzalone said he was going to be wearing 5.

Right Kind of Guys- That's how Kelly and Diaco describe the sort of players they go after. 'It takes the RKG to play at Notre Dame' . He references to the RKG quite a bit in the articles I read from insidetheirish on NBC.com .

You are correct, I knew it was one of our LB's, my mistake. We have our Front 7 still looking good in the future, but as posted above, our defensive backfield is where we need to focus more on.

He knows what RKG means.

Notice how he phrased it as a quote from our favorite coach out west, the beloved Lane Kiffin. He's implicating Lane doesn't know what an RKG is...

It's still August. There's still plenty of time for other school to steal our recruits.

I don't think anyone can say anything about the job this coaching staff is doing in the recruiting world.

I'm sure these young men have been told about it, but I wonder if these guys can actually comprehend what it will feel to be the guys that turns ND back into the elite team we all want.

We've had teasers before with TW and Weis, but for some reason this truely feels different.

This feels different because it is. BK is actually recruiting quality players on the Offensive and Defensive lines, unlike Weis who was only good at recruiting skill players. Everything starts with the lines, and BK is getting done recruiting wise.

Its different bc I saw a 6'6" 305 lb DE out run Navy's skill players on a fubmle recovery for a 77 yard TD and not John Ryan getting shoved around like a dammit doll.

Don't care where we're ranked and i'm more than happy with our OL and LB recruits....but with GLARING issues in the secondary, Id like to see more guys jumping on board back there as well.

The CB situation isn't necessarily the coaches' fault. Guys transferred or got injured for whatever reason. It's just been bad luck. Even in last year's class, the staff tried to OVER recruit at the position and still ended up short. A couple guys couldn't handle the academics. One guy didn't take a spanish class in high school. Another guy got caught in a twitter scandal. Some flip flopped on us. Some guys suffered serious injuries. It's been terrible terrible bad luck.

No i am not talking about you i am talking about him.

Oh ok. Well still, hopefully the kid turns the corner. Lots of injuries at CB at CU.

Also, I'm glad he didn't end up at Michigan.
