Well Alex still does talk to Florida so wouldn't shock me. I believe he sticks though.

Seriously? He still talks to UF coaches? I mean I was pretty sure of things when he/his father came out and said they were going to be super sure before making this commitment and after they made the choice there would be no chance of him changing his mind... so why keep talking to other schools? Just odd to me.

I agree I know he is committed to ND but him still talking to Florida coaches and flirting with them has me worried a little.

He commited mainly because of the mob and how comfortable he felt at ND. When he visited Florida they didn't have their class there to proove how much they believed he could fit in there. I believe he knows that he would be happier in South Bend with his true teammates. Also he is probably talking with Kelly and Co more than he is with Muschamp

But since then he has gotten close with several UF commits like Sherit, Hargreaves and Nick Washington. I believe the Tre Bell fiasco hurt them a little bit but you better believe they will be after him all year. He does, however, stay in very close contact with Onwualu, Butler and Heuerman so I think he is still solid at this point. I, like GB, think he sticks in the end.

SIAP, but this appears to have been deleted since earlier...

@AlexAnzalone_24: Even though I'm committed to ND, I'll always be a Florida fan

I guess it's a good thing that UF stunk today and doesn't look like they have any solutions at qb or receiver. They look like they might be in big trouble.

I can see where people could easily get mixed signals. Kid is still in high school and does not understand business the way adults do.

No doubt he might. My point is that let's face it, kids who are intelligent and prioritize academics are going to choose ND over Florida most of the time and if they are all about winning or the every popular "wanting to play in the SEC" then they would choose UF most of the time. But if UF shows no signs 2 years in a row of getting back to being elite, then that is going to hurt their main selling point over ND.

I disagree but nothing I type will change your mind

In 247's "recruits react to Irish win" post, a person couldn't sound more luke warm than Alex. I hope he sticks, and maybe some kids are just reserved and their sentiment doesn't come across in writing, but if I had to bet one kid in this class flipping, it'd be Alex. Like I said, really like him and hope he sticks, but just giving my honest impression.

Not exactly the most reassuring tweet from a recruit. There's always one, let's hope it's not Alex (or anyone else).

Objectively true. Not even close. +1

I am thinking of a kid named Trattou every time I see something new about him.

I would like to know what was his reasoning behind committing to ND if he was going to still talk to coaches after the whole Ohio State debacle

He said Meyer called to just say hi to his parents. Oh and the asked if he was still committed to ND in passing.

Urban cares so much about the family :eek:grin: I want to see the excuse Alex comes up with when he visits Florida for a game sometime during the season.
