Going to bed at a normal time Friday night w/ no drinking, then gonna watch the game with a cold one in hand. Still deciding on a good place to watch the game out here in South Bend, preferably with a loud crowd...

Macri's is a cool place to catch a game. i'm not sure if they will be open for the early game this week. between the buns is open. tilted kilt would most likely be open. i would guess most places in eddy street commons would be. i know b and j's pub in niles will be open for it.

let me do a little more research and i'll get back to you.

Now wait a second. You and I have a little tradition here of partying the night before the season opener. Am I going to be flying solo this year?

-Friday night early retirement to bed (get little sleep)
-5am wakeup.
-Pop a breakfast casserole (eggs, cheese, corn beef, hash, onion) my wife made the night before in the oven.
-Brew some coffee.
-Cook up some has on the stove
-5:45am buds arrive with Jameson, Kahlua, and Guinness in hand.
-6:00am let the season begin.
~8:45am hopefully be celebrating a great Irish victory and wait for the TIDE to drown the skunkbears!

I'll be staying in a hotel in San Francisco with my in-laws Friday and Saturday night so I'll more than likely be waking up early, grabbing a sixer, kicking my wife out of the room and yelling at the TV for a couple hours.

I'm not going to lie guys... in all honesty... I have not yet decided if I'm even going to get up that early... I may just catch the very end of it... idk...

I have a bad feeling every ND game these days, and I keep asking myself if i really want to trade precious sleep (five month beauty at home now) for what may end with my waking up everyone screaming in furries...

I'll probably watch Boise-Sparty and then fall asleep.

Somehow, despite being exhausted, I'll wake up hours before kickoff. I'll count the minutes as they tick slowly by.

BOOM, KICKOFF.

Dude, at least DVR it and watch it at your leisure.

Got the 60" High-def turned jus right to compensate for the early morning light. Check.

Grocery list and time on the schedule to stop, long enought to get the beer cold for the cheerio's. Check.

Kids staying at mom's until after the game. Check.

Invite my youngest son who is the tailsman to watch the game if he chooses. Check.

On call till 7 a.m., then......drinking like a fish! Did I mention I'm also on call for the Michigan game? Going to have to do something about that. Not sure about the breakfast that morning. My wife is a huge foodie, so I'm sure she'll do something fantastic!

(From Big D, TX) Normal Friday night, up by 8 am on Saturday...grilling full throttle by kick off, dip in the pool during half time. Game over early afternoon with victory, makes the rest of long weekend enjoyable and relaxing in preparation for roadtrip to SB for home opener next weekend. Victory tequila will be flowing.
