I just read that this upcoming 9th season of the office will be the last. Without a doubt one of my favorite shows of all time. It lost some of its appeal with Steve Carrell leaving back in season 7 but was still a good show to watch without him. Im happy now theyre deciding to end it before it really becomes a shell of its former self and before more of the main characters leave. Anyone else here want to share some favorite episodes or quotes? I know it would make me fully satisfied.....

The race for the cure for rabies is one of my favorites along with the Dundies. Nothing beats the basketball episode in season one. It really has been going down hill for awhile, even while Steve was still on the show. The first four seasons were flawless though. I am interested to see how they end it. I know revealing the documentary crew is suppose to be part of it which should be pretty cool.

I love the show and hope M. Scott makes an appearance in the series finale. My favorite show was the one where Michael was looking to buy a condo.

"Can't put a tv there, it's a shared wall. Guy gets mad at his wife, throws her against the wall, and your tv drops."

Not an exact word for word quote.

My favorite episodes were when Michael, Pam, and Ryan started the Michael Scott Paper Company. It showed that Michael wasn't completely inept and it was nice to see Michael's replacement get owned!

They should have ended it two seasons ago. It's been really bad lately.

The one where Michael throws a party at his house with Jan. The most hard to sit through thirty minutes ever. And probably the funniest thing I've ever seen.

Used to be my favorite show but I couldn't watch it after Michael Scott left. To me it's been off the air for a few years.

Sad

Sad

Favorites by Andy:

I always say, "Beer me." Gets a laugh, like, a quarter of the time.

Just listen, I forgot to tell you the plan for this Saturday. You, me, bars, beers, buzzed. Wings. Shots. Drunk. Waitresses, hot. Football - Cornell/Hofstra. Slaughter. Then a quick nap at my place and we'll hit the tiz-own.

And of course... Dwight you ignorant slut. Lol

I'll miss this show. Sad it couldn't make it to the coveted 10th season. But ill always remember the first few seasons as some of the funniest 30 mins of life.

My favorite episode is definitely "Fun Run," probably followed by the one where Dwight sets a fire in the office. This is my second favorite show of all time (can't beat Arrested Development), but it's good that an end is in sight. Hopefully that means some better episodes and (PLEASE) a reappearance of Michael Scott. Maybe Michael's wedding to Holly? That would be some great closure.

The last season (the eighth) was ****ing terrible. It should've ended with Michael's departure.

I used to love this show. My favorite episode is the one when Michael takes them all on a booze cruise. I've only seen 1 or 2 episodes since Carrel left and it was awful. Probably a good thing that it's ending.

Some episodes I thought were very funny: the episode Andy floats away in the Sumo Wrestler suit and the one that Jim dressed up like Dwight.

Question, which bear is best?

Yea the show used to be the funniest thing on TV. I really believe the first season was the best, and each one after got worse and worse.

My two favorite scenes were when dwight pulls his shirt off during the basketball game and say "we'll be skins", and the only highlight of Will Ferrell's few horrible episodes when he starts air juggling.

Great show. The last few seasons have been forced and disappointing; Andy was a terrible choice to replace Michael. But overall a fantastic show following the great British version.

In the wild, there is no health care. In the wild, health care is, 'Ow, I hurt my leg. I can't run. A lion eats me and I'm dead."' Well, I'm not dead. I'm the lion. You're dead.

I know I'm in the super minority, but I never really liked Michael as a character. He was over the top awkward to the point where I couldn't connect with him. Dwight and Creed are the best characters by far, even in the beginning. I'm going to miss this show.

I never smile in photos. Showing your teeth is a sign of weakness in primates.

When someone smiles at me, all I see is a chimpanzee begging for its life.

Dwight Schrute: Welcome to the Hotel Hell. Check-in time in now, check-out time is never.
Jim Halpert: Does my room have cable?
Dwight Schrute: No. And the sheets are made of fire.
Jim Halpert: Can I change rooms?
Dwight Schrute: Sorry we're all booked up. Hell convention in town.
Jim Halpert: Can I have a late check-out?
Dwight Schrute: I'll have to talk to the manager.
Jim Halpert: You're not the manager, even in your own fantasy?
Dwight Schrute: I'm the owner.. the co-owner. With Satan!
Jim Halpert: Okay, just so I understand it. In your wildest fantasy, you are in hell and you are co-running a bed and breakfast with the devil.
Dwight Schrute: But I haven't told you my salary yet.
Jim Halpert: Go.
Dwight Schrute: Eighty thousand dollars.

Michael: There she is. I swear Phyllis you are as beautiful as the first day you started work at Dunder Mifflin.
Phyllis: Thanks, Michael. That's sweet. Same as when you said it outside.
Michael: How you doin'? You excited.
Phyllis: Yes, very.
Michael: Me, too. If you need to vomit, that is ok. I did. Do you want to talk about tonight?
Phyllis: No.
Michael: You're probably worried about pleasing Bob. A lot of pressure. Phyllis, did you break wind? It's okay, if you did. It's a very natural reaction. It's your wedding. And you're nervous...
Phyllis: That wasn't me.
Michael: Okay... umm... I'm sure that Bob... Wow. That is... that is pungent. I lost my train of thought. Aaah... Are you set on that hairstyle?
Phyllis: I thought it was...
Michael: Here, let me...
Phyllis: Michael... No.
Michael: Just cover up that bald patch.
Phyllis: I don't need your... thank you. No, Michael please... I just need some time alone.
Michael: Okay.

Goodbye, Toby... so many great scenes in that one... especially when they convince Holly (her first episode) that Kevin is mentally handicapped.

Favorite singular scene is when Dwight gives the Nazi-esque speech at the salesmen convention. I almost died laughing.
