Offensive tackle Jordan Prestwood is "no longer with us," Brian Kelly said. Not sure on return. RB Cam Roberson pursuing medial scholly.

Does this still leave some possibility for a return?

Personal reasons could be a family member sick, or that he had issues with people.

Pointless to speculate until details come out

I will put my edit first: Read this as though I am making no comparison between AL and JP. I have no use for AL and plenty of respect for JP. This post is about some other things too, that have to do with neither, remember.

You all want someone to tell you something. Look with your own eyes. Read between the lines. Kelly sees it at hand. Now that the team has tipped in his direction, more players with a work ethic than a party demeanor, and now that he has the right assistants in the right place, expect the corner cobwebs and other hangers on to be removed.

In high school, my freshman and sophomore year the teams were huge and had more talented players than you could shake a stick at. When we were sophs, we had a stacked JV, many of us alternated between JV and varsity for games, but we practiced JV. We scrimaged the first team varsity and kicked their @sses! More than once. Those two teams were the only two varsity squades in like an eight year period that didn't play in the city championship game. For four years after I left. Then the next big team full of superstars missed. Go figure.

It's all about heart, and fire in your belly, at whatever level of competition you are talking.

Good luck to JP in the future. If he does return then he is welcome back with open arms and if he/BK decide his future is not with ND, then all the best to him.

I will not dare speculate as to why, only to wish a hearty God speed to whatever the issue is.

I think Bog is trying to say that the guys not suited to work and buy-in 100% at all times are being weeded out. However, he apparently is not referring to Prestwood. Hmmm.

Just.

But what I am trying to say is there are as many different reasons as their are different people.

For example, no one has anything but respect for Cam or Brad, correct?

Then there are more nefarious reasons for others.

Then there is Jordan, which is something different.

But when you add them up it is substantial, with a killer class around the corner, and a whole new more unified team. Harry and Bob are big part of it. Watch the line and the d-backfield take off! Recruiting is taking off and team unity, acceleration to success!

So you're saying that the team is finally stabalizing, and we are seeing those who do not contribute to the stable atmosphere (for various reasons) leaving? Is it meant to be? Is it divine intervention, God making the roster exactly as it should be??? TELL ME!

FSU guys did say he was soft when he transferred. I thought it was just sour grapes.

Not about fitting in with the team. Guys knocking him like they are getting rid of dead weight is not fair. Until you know what his "personal reasons" are it is not fair to judge

Prestwood is a good kid and a very harder worker. No need to question anything that has been questioned in this thread. But i am glad we have a nice OL class coming to help ease the losses of the OL in the last week.

I think a majority of us are concerned about our corners, but to call these guys cobwebs . . .

Just kidding Bogs, I know what you're saying but when I read it I chuckled.

Seriously though, if you go back to the signing day press conference (I think it was that one), Kelly mentioned that Ronnie Stanley had to be prepared to come in with the mind set to play right away (paraphrase). That surprised me, not because I doubt Ronnie's ability - quite the opposite - but I was hoping we were so solid on the OL, that every freshman should expect to preserve a year of eligibility. Whether this is what Kelly had in mind, anyone's guess is better than mine, but the writing may have been on the wall at the end of last season.

I hope Jordan is well, both mentally and physically as he has had quite a ride. Best of luck, and I hope he returns.
