idk if one win will do that...if you think about it an O lineman wins probably over 80% of pass plays any given game, but the 20% he loses can make him look really bad.
Probably not but it is a good sign that he can actually compete at these camps. As someone who has gone through 1 v 1's in practice everyday, the D-line wins 80% of the time in this drill b/c they have no run responsibility and they don't have to worry about other players getting in their way or keeping their gap on the pass rush, there is no potential for a double team either. Once our coach flipped the drill to where we can either pass set or run block, that percentage flipped to 80% O-line winning.
Long story short the 1 V 1's, in the traditional "camp" setting, are completely defensive line bias.
FTWAW - our D-line was nasty for D2 while I was there, Jarron Jones' older brother (Very fast and athletic, also committed to Syracuse out of HS), a 1st team All-American who is camping with the G-men in Randy Colling, and a few other All-GLIAC/PSAC players. (we changed conferences)
